It could go anyway(except for Philly cuz' they're going straight downhill), but our schedule only gets easier after the Chargers.I know we can beat any one of the remaining teams on our schedule.

Skins:9-7
Giants:10-6
Girls:8-8 (I just realized how tough their SOS is)

You'll notice no NFC-east team gets a wildcard spot. Thats because I see both wildcards going on the NFC-South. Give me all the hate you want for not picking the skins to go better, but that is my prediction. I definately don't think we do worse than 8-8, so if I'm wrong, then i will be pleasantly surprised and elated. My expectations for this season were sky-high, so now, i'm lowballing it and hoping to be surprised!

Our schedule:
- I see us wining 2 of 3 against the next 3 (chargers, rams, cardinals). Giving us the record of (7-6)
- I can see us beating the eagles and one of either the cowboys/giants. Giving us the record of (9-7) (4-2 in division)

Giants schedule:
- They'll finish off the last 3 games with 4-2 or 3-3, giving them (11-5 or 10-6) and atleast 2 more division wins, making them (4-2 in the division)

Cowboys schedule:
- I can see them finishing 2-4 or 3-3, at best. Making them (9-7 or 10-6 at best). Right now they are 3-1 in the division, they will lose to the giants making them 3-2 in the division. If we beat them, they go 3-3 in the division at either 9-7 or 10-6, depending on other games. IF we lose they go 4-2 in the division and are either 10-6 OR 9-7, with a 4-2 record. So if they dont go 10-6, this is very very close

Eagles schedule:
- I just cant see them doing better then 2-4 towards the end of the year. I cant see them going over (6-10), no real threat with the injuries and everything else.

One of the WC's is coming out of the NFC east, and one is coming out of the NFC South. Neither division is going to finish strong enough towards the end of the year to take both and the other 2 divisions just are not going to be close enough.

This is still insanely close, if we lose more then 2 more games, THEN we are more or less done. IF this happens with 2 games left and no chance at the post-season...then we can start bringing up talk about seeing the rookie QB, shut up till then.

This is all possible and not. The giants can still hit a rough patch of games...remember Eli is still only a 2nd year QB, he is bound to make some mistakes. We should have a clear idea of whats going on by the night of december 18th, with 2 games left.

I agree they're ticked. But being ticked and being able to actually do something about it are two different things. I hope you're right, but I don't think we'll be able to overcome our injuries on the DL or at WR so easily.

injuries to opposing teams have my predictions in the air:

San Diego W - The Chargers with Gates are different from San Diego without Gates, if no Gates, I say the Skins pull it out. Even if Gates plays, I feel he won't be 100%, also Gibbs and the rest of the team will focus on protecting the ball (yet Skins still won't get pressure on Brees, because Marty will make sure the line keeps Brees on his feet), but I don't think anyone besides LT and Gates(who might not be a go) can hurt us badly...Also, we can't lose to two coaches Snyder has fired in two straight weeks.

@St. Louis W - All rests on the shoulder of Marc Bulger, if he doesn't play, Jamie Martin (no matter how many backs and receivers he has) isn't going to beat us...we've beaten better Rams teams with less talent on our side...Bulger, however, seems to bring live into this team, and it scares me...I'm not sold on the Rams protection(with the exception of the mountain named Orlando Pace), maybe the Skins start getting a little bit of pressure... Skins pull it out.

@Arizona W- This team is better than it has played, they have the talent to give a scare, even an upset...Gibbs better prepare for this game...However, the Cards can't protect the QB and I think we finally generate a bunch of TO's with the constant pressure on Warner/McCown, and Portis takes care of business grinding out yards...Not easy, but not difficult win

Dallas W- I refuse, REFUSE, to say that Dallas will beat us...Seeing people type that Dallas will beat us puts a "Justin Skaggs avatar face" on my face...Parcells did outplay play us most of the game earlier in the season, and won't let Moss beat us again, and will focus on keeping Moss on lockdown, Enter Chris Cooley, safties will focus on Moss up top, not letting him beat the corner, allowing the middle of the field to be open, Chris Cooley becomes a lethal weapon, safety comes down to stop him, up top to Moss...Dallas' O couldn't do anything in week 2 (other than a trick play) If the Skins are healthy coming in, though there will be little pressure, cowboys won't do anything on the ground, and the 12th man won't let them do anything at FedEx, spirted win.

New York UND- The Giants game this week will determine my prediction for this game. Giants win, I say Giants beat us, Giants lose, We beat them badly...Why you ask? The Giants are 6-1 at home and 1-2 on the road (2-2 if you cound the "road" against the Saints) they've lost to Dallas and San Diego on the road, and started out slow against the Niners before taking them down...The Giants do not have a quality win on the road, and this week they go into Seattle, who are very difficult to beat at home...If they can beat the Seahawks, they earned my respect, and I feel they will beat us...but if they do what I think and get steamrolled, they will be eaten alive by the FedEx Faithful...We will play spirited after what happened in our last meeting.

@Philly L - Ultimate trap game, Philly has lost it's top two playmakers, but a few years ago, AJ Feeley won 4 games with this team...Mike McMahon is better than AJ Feeley, The Eagles D is better than advertised in the past few games, Brain Westbrook is a great ball player, no matter who's giving him the ball, and the Eagles can't be that bad after this many weeks of adjustment...Plus, we always have trouble when we go to Philly, and the high of beating the other two rivals my leave us cocky, and we get overconfident and lose.

10-6 or 9-7, pending on the Giants this weekend, maybe a playoff berth...I will guarantee one thing...........these next few weeks are going to be crazy

i hate to say this, but here's my prediction: we've been exposed and conquered. i see no end to it now. we dont have better people on the field, we have worse (due to injuries). now, all teams have injuries, but our's are devastating when we've put all our eggs into one basket with free agents and left the backup rolls to undrafted walk-ons.

Just a couple more days and one advantage for both Griffin and Thrash, we have an "additonal receiver and ST man" :). The other is Griffins' status is going upward, since we don't travel away, he gets 2 extra days before the announcement of his playing and that means, his backups now have experience in tough games = great for a team heading down the stretech!

The secondary gained Rogers back! should he replace Harris, it forces Harris' back at #3, where he really is an advantage and gives Clark and Taylor a chance to make bigger plays, keeps Prioealou on the bench after ST.

unfortunately, Harris is faster than Rogers. I believe Rogers was chosen for his "physical" play. Harris is fast, and he's there on the pass, but he cant make a play on the ball. Rogers is great in run support, but the more he plays, the more penalties he gets and the more catches he gives up.

Griffin's injury is undoubtedly worse than we have been led to believe. this has been a recurring theme with the injury reports. it was thought to be minor originally, but after 4 games, it's obviously major, and we have no comparable backup.

Oh c'mon, its not like Portis, Moss, and Marcus Washington are out due to injury here. Losing Thrash and Griffin hurt. Betts is a occasionally nice player, but he's not a critical member of the team. Sellers has played well, but he's replacable. Or is this the whole opposite thing you said you were doing.

Rogers is being flagged for penalties? He had a BS personal foul in the KC game, but I dont recall him getting anything recently.

My prediction for the last 6 games is 5-1. I don't have a strong feeling that we will win vs SD. The way their offense runs combined with our injuries and lack of ability to pressure the QB is gonna make this a tough game. After that I say we win out. St Louis with no bulger makes that an easier game. Cardinals have no running game whatsoever. We sweep Dallas because I say we will. We exact revenge on the Vagiants because we have to. Philly is done without their top two playmakers.

Yeah my reasons are cloudy and hopeful but so am I.

Losing Griffin really hurts, but also both Aki Jones and Killings have been fighting nagging injuries over the last couple weeks, both of whom have played well at times also hurts. Thats why Evans has been playing DT, instead of them.

How do you see this playing out? (honestly now...)

Our schedule: (record: 5-5)
Nov. 27 - Chargers L - Can't overcome the balanced offense of the Chargers
Dec. 4 @ Rams W - No Bulger and we stop Stephen Jackson and running game. Portis should have a big day here.
Dec. 11 @ Cardinals W - Inconsistent QB play but we squeak one out here as Warner carves up our secondary. We win in a shoot out.
Dec. 18 - Cowboys L - Revenge game for the Boys as they hurt our playoff hopes.
Dec. 24 - Giants W - Revenge as we force Eli into another bad game. Lightning can't strike twice in one season. Can it?
Jan. 1 @ Eagles W - Fighting for our playoff lives, we come into Philly needing this game for a chance at the playoffs and play like it.

Good question! My responses are in bold. I think we'll lose out on the playoffs to the NFC South (either Falcons or Bucs). Ultimately I believe the Bucs game will cost us the playoffs as we finish a game out of the playoffs. However, I do feel the Cowboys are for real because of their defense and will win the division. How can the Skins AND the Girls win on the 18th, DJ??? 9-7 for both teams by your predictions and we're in the playoffs with the season sweep of Dallas.

Guys don't forget, like the East, the South is playing each other all in Dec and knocking each other out. Here's their schedules:

Carolina (7-3):
Nov. 27 @ Bills.......... W
Dec. 4 Falcons......... W
Dec. 11 Bucs............ W
Dec. 18 @ Saints....... W
Dec. 24 Cowboys....... W
Jan. 1 @ Falcons........ L
Final Record (12-4)

Tampa Bay (7-3):
Nov. 27 Bears............ L
Dec. 4 @ Saints........ W
Dec. 11 @ Panthers.... L
Dec. 17 @ Patriots...... L
Dec. 24 Falcons.......... W
Jan. 1 Saints.............. W
Final Record (10-6)

Falcons (6-4):
Nov. 24 @ Lions........... W
Dec. 4 @ Panthers....... L
Dec. 12 Saints.............. L
Dec. 18 @ Bears........... L
Dec. 24 @ Bucs............ L
Jan. 1 Panthers............ W
Final Record (8-8)

If New Orleans can pull off one or two upsets, then one of these teams could be out... and if the Saints pull off TWO UPSETS, we may see TWO NFC EAST teams in. The Saints are healthy and have no reason NOT to play spoiler for all these teams.

Dallas and NYG both lose out and finish the season 7-9...wait they play each other. Damn. Dallas wins that game but other than that both teams lose out. Dallas (8-8) NYG (7-9)...Redskins win the division!! YEAH!!

I have a strong feeling that 2 teams from the east and the south are going to go to the playoffs, Wild Card's.

I just cant see 3 from either confrence going...one of the conferences would just have to flop the end of the season. It "will" be the giants/redskins/cowboys, 2 of these 3 will make it. The south is basicly the same, 3 and 2 will make it.

NFC East: Based on the schedule, the Redskins might have the best chance to pull out the division. This four-way race, though, should go down to the last two weeks. The Redskins' remaining foes have a combined 34-31 record, and the biggest challenges should come within the division. The two games against winning teams outside of the NFC East are vs. the Bucs and Chargers. They have winnable games against the Raiders and Cardinals. That's a far cry from what the Cowboys face.
Prediction: Redskins win division, Giants grab wild card.

yes this was before the raiders game...but even with injuries we have a much better schedule then our friends in the division...

Our gut checks are all the remaining games. True the injuries are taking their toll on game planning and like any game, it also takes a bit of luck now and then to pull one out. I think one of these games, whether today or later is a loss, as much as we'd all like to see 6-0 (since it is possible). After today's game, the same teams that are supposed to be winnable or an element that gives us plenty of incentive to win them, can be an odd turn of events not in our favor.

However, I have taken this to be a variety of answers and understand that, so I am sticking with 5-1, because the players are pulling together and each one is knowing far better those little nagging things they do wrong, aren't insignificant during the course of a game. True a team has to work through it, but still do it right the first time is far better.

Redskins win out and finish the season 11-5.

Dallas and NYG both lose out and finish the season 7-9...wait they play each other. Damn. Dallas wins that game but other than that both teams lose out. Dallas (8-8) NYG (7-9)...Redskins win the division!! YEAH!!

I like the way you think
