Right on about Cooley. His YAc is great considering his size and the routes he runs. He is shaping up to be the best non first round draft pick in the last 5 years.

For the Redskins, correct? ;)

With the stepping up of Carlos Rogers I'm getting downright giddy about our secondary. Springs, Rogers and Taylor-Now that's a spicy meatball!

The thing I am most impressed with in Rogers is his tackling ability. I dont think I've seen him miss a tackle yet. Thats a huge upgrade from Smoot's tackling. I am really glad that the Titans took Pacman Jones, that choice never made any sense to me, especially the way Pacman practically moves out of the way of WR's and causes problems in the locker room.

Funny story (or at least it was funny to me).

One one play there was a pitch to Portis, and because I was focusing on Cooley I immediately start freaking out yelling that he needs to drive up and hit the man in front of him. I just couldn't understand why he was back on his heels and not powering over someone...

Next thing I know the camera pans and Portis had thrown the ball down field. It was a great moment in the game for me b/c it really helped cut a little tension.

DT Aki Jones:

Was he even active?

I do believe I saw #94 on one play. He was blocked and went nowhere. Didn't notice him if he was in on any others.

BTW, good report.

The performance of the youngsters gives hope for the future. Loving the solid tackling by Rogers and the performance against good rams recievers.

After getting over the initial shock on draft day that we didn't go after the sexier pick in Mike Williams, I totally understood the Rogers pick. I've loved him since his Auburn days and he's definitely gonna be a stud. I too agree he'll be a complete CB in a few years. I love it that he's on our team. We have a good young secondary in Rogers, Taylor, and Clark.

Rogers and Cooley will be great players for us for a long time. Both are very effective and fundamentally sound. Assuming Campbell works out for us for the long run, the only thing I would have done differently is nabbed Chris Canty. He would be starting at end. I know you don't wanna question every single move but I think we would have done very well getting him for our needed def. end positions.

We have a good core of young players who are only getting better. I like the direction we are heading. We have young stars on offense and defense so IMO we are going to have a competetive team for a while.

One best thing about this team right now is the mix of younsters and veterans on the team. To have Springs teaching Rogers is working out quite well. And I don't know what to say about Cooley, that guy is a man-child. We should have a good mix for a few years

Thanks, good assessment!

Nemo got a vote of confidence from JG, that's what that was. Those little add ins in games will grow soon enough. Maybe like 5 touches a game or some key blocking assignments. JG's letting anyone in on the fun, is a blessing!

SOLID SOLID crop of yougin's.

camp works ouot hopefully, Cooley is set, Rogers at one side. Taylor and Clark (Who i really think is a great player). Portis is still real young. Rock is still young. Dockery is improvin' and is young, so is samuels and jansen. I believe THomas is only 27. and Casey is still young.

Lets just upgrade the D-line. and grab a solid CB in the latter rounds to develop and take springs place.

BOYS WE WILL BE GOOD FOR A LONG TIME!!!
