Looks like we'll have Betts back this week. He's not listed.

Arrington's injury must have worsened because I remember them saying he was fine.

After the way Rock played last week does Betts see the field much? Seems like Gibbs would want to stick with the hot hand ...

Yeah I wouldn't throw Betts in right away. He still needs to get back into the rythm of the game. Gibbs should ease him in there slowly, maybe see more carries during the second half. I would still have Rock backing up Portis. Rock is on fire right now, so we got to stick with him.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Betts carrying the ball from scrimmage some time midway into the second quarter. In any case, he should be returning kickoffs right from the start. Good to have him back, he's a good player.

This is what i see as well. When healthy Betts is the better runner. Its just a matter of him staying healthy which he has been unable to do in his career. At least we know we have a capable backup if he goes down again.

It's amazing how quickly an injury heals after the person below you on the depth chart has a good game.
I am wondering if they play Arrington and Salvea. You never take any team lightly, but perhaps they let Salve'a rest since AZ can not run the ball all that well and maybe evne lighten LA's load and take him out if we get a two score lead.

Have we signed one or two of the LBs on the practice squad to the active roster? That would give us a hint on if Lavar is going to play...

Betts will play, Gibbs said he was working out.

i wonder if we are gonna maybe cut antonio brown because we have a kickoff guy. if i was gibbs, i would keep brown as our punt return guy because he has been doing pretty well with that

I think we keep Brown, we have pretty much no other WR's on the roster. Thrash is more than likely out, but if it weren't for stupid penalties on PR and KR, Brown would of been very effective.

on a side note, did anyone hear Brandon Noble on Elliot in the Morning the other day? he was saying he had his knee drained twice last week, tweeked it playing around the house with his daughter, he said he's lost a lot of weight and he said he's so out of shape that he gets winded at the top of the stairs and has to rest before walking down the hallway to the bedrooms. he said he's on crutches again too. sounded like he's done to me, but still helping out with coaching some on the sidelines.

That sucks about Noble, I like him as a player. I agree with everyone on keeping Betts out for most of the game except kickoffs and about 5 carries in the game. He needs to get back into the game, and Rock is lighting it up right now when Portis isn't in. As far as Lavar goes, IMO he should sit this game out for the most part because AZ has no running game or catching TE. We need the healthier/faster LB in there.

Santana refused to talk about it to the media and he is not practicing this week. He will start but I would expect to see a lot of running the ball, again this week and Moss used sparingly.

the fact that he didnt take to the media about it is what scares me. the good thing is pounding the ball is probably the gameplan for this weekend anyway.

I would not be a bit surprized to see Nemo doing well also, if not this season, certainly next year. Four good running backs and one good receiver. No wonder we want to run the ball as much as we can. Prey Moss stays healthy.

Antonio is fAST. We can use his speed somewhere.

I definitely see this scenario.
GIBBS: Antonio?
BROWN: Yeah Coach.
GIBBS: Run on down and get me some gatorade...fast.
BROWN: Okay coach.
Brown scares the hell out of me. Too many fumbles.

I also heard about the Moss injury on NFL Sirius Radio. Apparently he will be good to go...
However, if he tweaks it during the game and can't play the rest of the game, our passing game will be in serious jeopardy.

We can't afford Santana to go down. He needs to suck it up and Play. If he doesn't play to save himself for something like those things that come after the regular season (I didn't say the P word.), then he and we would all have to wait until next season for that.
Keep Rock in there. He has the hot hand.

I don't like the report on the Moss injury one bit. Regardless of how severe the injury is now, hamstrings on speed guys can be trouble. I will say my prayers tonight b/c if he goes down so does our last hope for the playoffs IMO. I fear what our offense would be without him.
As for the BK guy, it seems he plays both ways too.
