So how is that for some sweet redemption gentlemen?! After fumbling a kickoff and being released, he comes back and in his second(?) game as a redskin after resigning he returns a kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown! Now i didn't get to watch the game or discuss it here so i don't know much of the details, but i know the bottom line, and that is that antonio brown returned a kickoff for a crucial touchdown in a must win situation. Let's give praise where praise is due guys.

He is dangerous on returns, he can really fly.

Once he broke through the K didn't have a chance. He might as well have just sat laid down or ran to his bench. He didn't come w/in 10 yards of AB. That guy has jets.
Props to the blocking on that play as well.

I was glad to see it, but not as happy as my oldest son was. Brown is one of his favorites.

He looked like a rocket just got fired in the middle of the field. He was behind all the blockers, then took off right down the middle, out running everyone.

A big fat thank you to Antonio Brown. And the blocking on that run was amazing as well. Massive hole to run through there. Would love to see one of those next weekend as well.

How about seeing more of Brown as a receiver? With his speed it take away some of the coverage on Moss.

And to think he was out of football until a few weeks ago. He's had his mistakes but Gibbs gave him another chance. He certainly took advantage of it today.

Gotta see if he can get on the same page as brunell, but hell yes. He could be a big factor deep. We all know that Jacobs can't do it.

yeah really! where has that been all season. with antonio brown's speed, we'd have great field position all the time if the teams can blck like that more often.

I think Gibbs may be reluctant to run plays for him though. I think Brown is still working to get the trust factor back with the staff. So far so good on STs. Maybe if he has a good week in practice he will see more action at WR. I would suspect that Thrash will be back this week. From what I was told he is close.

I am glad to see Antonio Brown get the TD. It is sweet redemption for him. I am scared of his fumbles but he came up big this week. And the blowing the kisses 30 yards from the endzone is just plain spectacular.

Getting Thrash back at WR will be big because he'll be able to play a much bigger role in the offense since Brown is handling the kick and punt return duties for him. I think it's a significant boost to the offense, Thrash looked good as a WR before he had to take over major special teams duties.

It was AWESOME at the game! The hole was SO UNBELIEVABLY HUGE on the play I saw it from the end zone, the whole was wide open and he had a blocker in front of him to spare, I saw the TD the second he saw the exposed hole.
BTW, your welcome! twas great hearing "Let's go defense!" and was proud to represent.

He is truely an amazing guy. I liked him even with the fumbles early on. It is good to have him back and contributing. I wonder if this marks the end for Betts. (but thats another thread....)

Actually I think Jacobs should be the one worried about losing his job next year..if we pick up a good #2 wr, that gives us Moss, #2, Patten, Thrash, and Brown, which is pretty good I would say

As good as Brown was on that play, we can't forget the blockers on that either. I, like everyone else, was waiting on a flag that didn't get thrown. They did a great job of blocking without getting a stupid penalty. Kodus to everyone on the STs.

I am Antonio Brown's biggest critic, but I loved seeing him get a little sweet redemption. I hope he plays his tail off these next few weeks and eliminates the need to get a real gamebreaking return man who doesn't fumble and field punts inside the 5 yard line.

Yeah I was waiting for the flag, furtunately it was good blocking. Brown has tremendous speed, but doesn't have any hands.

The thing I noticed is that he has really reoriented his game on returns. In preseason and the first game this year he was trying so hard to go side to side and find an empty lane. But every return he has in this game he just went full speed right down the field, as long as he keeps that up we should have much better starting field position that we have had in a long time.

AB said in the post-game that, "Coach Smith loves me when I return them up the middle." So, I am guessing the coaching staff has been working on him putting immediate pressure on the coverage teams by getting upfield right away.
Ade Jimoh had a really funny quote on AB in regard to the blown kiss, in I think the Wash Times, he said something like, "When you can get off the couch and run a 4.2 40 you can do anything you want." Ab is one of those rare guys who actually looks like he is running a 4.2.

Yeah I saw that quote....if only he could combine that speed with some type of catching ability then we would be able to use him more ways than one.

Catching can be taught, speed can't. He has at least a better potenial than Jacobs on the field. He was suppose to be fast, and he can't outrun anyone.

I totaly agree. Rememeber during the pre-season, AB was running routes and getting seperation from the DBs with ease, always getting open. But everytime we threw to him, he couldn't pull it it. I think with time, he can definitely be taught how to catch the ball, I mean hey.....look at Robert Royal the past two games.

Great Post article on AB (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/13/AR2005121301686.html). I apologize if this article has been previously posted. I was AB biggest critic but after this reading, I would love nothing more (except a W against the Girls) than to see him succeed in B&G.

Agree w/ you waterboy....I thought he was showboating at first, but from the Post article, it was more like "life is sweeeeet!....". After all he's been through, I wish AB the best - and now we know what Gibbs was referring to when he talks about a guy who was real hard to cut (though looks like Danny Smith had to make the call).
OT: curious you have an April 2004 join date and only 4 posts? Must be a case of multiple personalities :)

It looked like he wasnt running scared against the cardinals. The game before it seemed like he was way to worried about not fumbling the ball, while that is very important you should still try and make plays back there and thats what he did, he made a play a very big one. Props to Antonio browm

Once again you are right on. If anyone remembers the preseason, it will not be his timing with Mark Brunell that prevents Brown from catching deep balls, it's the fact that the guy can't catch when he's moving. There was one game where Brunell looked brilliant and was hitting Brown in the face and hands all game, and he never caught ONE ball. 4 drops x 0 catches = no dice for Brown at receiver. Unless he's used as a decoy for Santana. . .

I agree but after learning his story I will always cheer hard for him to do well. But a good stragedy for sun could be to send Brown for a long bomb on the first play and chuck it up to him. If he catches it then great but if not it will keep the Cows d honest.

Brilliant! Moss is the first person they key on, they haven' t seen enough of Brown to gauge his moves in passing routes, only a couple of passes early in the season/preseason. Adding Brown with Moss and Cooley/Farris/Jacobs puts far more pressure on the cowgirls secondary!

if someone could teach him to catch the ball, he could be an extremely dangerous weapon. he was wiiiiide open all pre-season. apprently the guy can jump too -- the post article tells of him getting on to his high school team based purely on his reputation for being able to dunk easily and leap over SUVs from a standing start.

I think AB would be a nice option as the third WR this week. I know TJ is probably slated to be the third WR, but he doesn't scare anyone. Any chance AB leap-frogs TJ and JF to make it on the field as a WR this week?
