Of Course Bob McNair(a Gamecock) would hire another Gamecock(Dan Reeves) to help get him out of this mess.

Reeves was a good coach but a bad personnel guy, like all other coaches. I'd say Charley's days are numbered and for good reason.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Pete Carrol as their next head coach. Along with Reggie Bush being their #1 draft pick....

I heard on ESPN radio this afternoon that PC is quietly sending out "feelers" to NFL teams. He wants full control over personell....

I think he'd be stupid to leave USC. He'll be able to attract the top talent in country there. And no rich athletes to deal with.

If anyone hires Carroll they're crazy. Some guys just can't make it in the pros. Plus, he has had so much talent around him at USC that you would have to take that into consideration when evaluating what he can do. Also, no one does well with total control.

I agree Dave. And to top it off, they said he's asking for $6 million a year...

people overlook the fact that he was 33-31 or something like that, and did go to the playoffs twice. but i wouldnt give $6 million to a college coach. way more spurriers than jimmy johnsons.

anything is a lot for a guy who averages 8.5 wins a season. the sports guy put it best when he said he doesn't follow college football because any sport that considers Pete Carroll a genius is doing something wrong. there are some guys that come out and show a lot of promise...Jimmy Johnson and Nick Saban come to mind, but i wouldn't give a guy that kind of money to run my team when he has already shown that he's mediocre at best at the NFL level.
