Just got the bad news. Lavar and Carlos were downgraded to questionable today. Here's the link: http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=13321
they'll play. gamesmanship at its best.

I'd be willing to bet that barring Arrington literally having his leg cut off, he'll be out there this week giving the cowboys hell.

If he is going to be a detriment in the least don't play him. Sure they have this figured out as well.

"LaVar got back out there and took some work," head coach Joe Gibbs said. "So that was good. He's been around here a long time and it's a big game for him. It's the biggest game that he's been a part of. So he got back out and took some work. We'll just have to see what we think."
If he is doing walk throughs today he will play on sunday.

Lavar Plays. PERIOD
Rogers, if he wants the fans to love him, and become a true redskin then he will try and play through the Pain. Fans repect Courage, and the Rookie could prove himself to be a lifelong redskins in one game.
Carlos, don't let us down...

If Lavar does not play I will be extremely disappointed. After seeing Ronnie Lott on Jim Rome yesterday talk about how he cut off the tip of his finger to play in a game, I expect the highest paid and highest profile members of this team to play in what is essentially the biggest game of their careers as Redskins.

To make room for Morton on the practice squad, the Redskins released rookie linebacker Zak Keasey from the practice squad.
Keasey is gone too, I thought Williams reallly liked him. I guess they are really thin at CB. As far as Lavar and Carlos, they will both be on the field on Sunday, I couldn't see them missing that game. And how is Bowen questionable, to much special teams?

I agree. We all like to pick on jimoh but he has actually played pretty decent lately. He gives a big play up occassionally but I would say recently his play is easily as good as harris'. But at the same time he has made some crucial plays on defense and special teams. So lets give him the benefit of the doubt, Jimoh needs to step up his game and prove why he keeps winning that roster spot on sunday.
I have total faith that Lavar will play if he possible can, he always has. When i hear thigh bruise it makes me think he has a gnarly charly horse, but it must be a lot worse than that.

This is bad news, but LaVar, especially (as he's the veteran of the two), needs to take whatever pills and whatever shots he needs to fight through this and come out ready to make someone's head bleed. This is the biggest game of his career, and the biggest game for this organization in YEARS... our best players need to take their game to another level and get ready to play on Sunday.

OK LaVar... you want to play? Go ahead son.... Bring me their heads. I promise you that will end your pain.

He has been pretty absent lately. Up until the Arizona game that is. That smack on Larry Fitz was a damn nice tackle. Still, when I see him on an island out there, I feel like we're playing with fire. We should get Ade his reps in earlier games next year -- like we did Carlos. That way, I don't feel like eating my own head when he's out there in coverage against Dallass with a playoff berth on the line.

LAVAR LAVAR LAVAR....
If we ever needed a playmaker in the past decade it is now.
I strongly believe that we are due for our BIG players to make BIG plays. That is Sean Taylor to make a PICK, LAVAR nailin' the QB repeadly, Santana to break out yet again, Portis to RUN over NOT Around the cowboys.
I JUST THINK WE ARE DUE!!

yeah i meant when he was getting in. But your right he hasn't been getting much time which can't be good. If springs and harris are a go I am not that concerned, he still will play limited time.

I wish i watched Jim Rome yesterday!!! What injury did he have that he had to do that? Lavar will play but Rogers injury must be kind of serious that he didnt take any work today but hopefully he'll be aite to be the nickel cornerback. Why did we cut Rufus Brown and Garnell Wilds in the first place?

PP on Johnson, Springs on Glenn, Harris/Jimoh on their third/fourths and even some coverage by Clark, who can play a little db at times on the 3rd/4th. Even more options are there, but it mainly accounts for Witten, their other TE's in a 2 set/Tackle eligible, gadgets and the backfield.

His finger got caught between two other players' helmets. If I'm not mistaken, against the cowgirls.

It would take a MAC truck to take Parcells out, I was thinking the Washington or Arrington model. If you want a little MAC, ST would be good for that.

Rookies can also force themselves on the field and end up with lingering injuries because they didnt rest one game. If walt and springs plays i dont expect carlos to or hold any grudge against him not playing. Your not a true redskin fan if you wish your players to go out while injured and try to do something stupid that would injure themselves $COUGH# lavar and his knee injury that started the whole mess at the start of the year.

You can't really think that way IMO. Everyone on the team is injured some way. Moss is injured with a hamstring, I am sure Portis has something wrong with him. Look down the o-line, they are all injured. Anyways, Rogers hasn't practiced all week, and he is just now getting movement in his shoulder. If he can play, he should play. If not, then sit him. I don't think GW will play him if it will risk his long term play or he can't handle the receivers. But I also think it will be the decision of GW because Rogers is going to want to play, who wouldn't in a Skins uni?

IMHO, it is time to stand up and get behind any and every member of this team. In '82, we had to turned to a little pint sized WR wearing the number 89 and see how that worked!
I want Arrington and Rogers to play, but I trust Jimoh and Holdman. We are a team and together we can not lose.

I want Arrington and Rogers to play, but only if they will help the team by doing so, e.g., Arrington + injury > Holdman. I also don't want them to play if they risk serious injury to do so. I want them to be able to play against the Giants and Eagles (and hopefully in the playoffs, not to mention in the future).
