I just wanted to comment on the gameplanning by Gibbs and Co. for this game. It was just simply incredible. The announcers were harping on this for about a quarter and a half. Gibbs and Williams seemed like they were reading the Cowboys' minds. I was wondering how long it would take to do some toss sweeps to Portis running to the outer edges. He was dangerous on most plays, eating up some serious yardage. This was the first time, i'm not even including the 49ers game, in a long time that I have seen this team just simply execute on every single facet of the game. If we can play like this from here out, no one will want to play us come playoffs. Yeah, I said it....the playoffs.

Honestly the game plan and execution were better than the Niners game. That was simply an inferior opponent and they were confused defensively.

First time all year I have absolutely no complaint on 2nd and short game calling. I loved every minute of the game. I guess ole Gibbs knows what he is doing afterall.

Agreed on all accounts. That was a perfect balance for the running plays. Last year and earlier this year it seemed we would just pound it up the middle and hten run a counter and then just go 3 and out. I was pleading for pass plays and deep bombs. But apparently i was only partially correct about how to open up the offense.

The pitchs and Sweeps had the same effect as pass plays. Spreading Portis out wide may have even opened up the middle more then a pass would. So first we stretch them laterally. Pound it up the middle. Then hit em deep to santana. They want to drop into coverage...oh look Cooley is open accross the middle. Two trick Pony? I count 5.

Portis Wide
Betts up the middle
Moss Deep
Cooley Mid-level,

We finally lived up to the song: "Run or pass and score - We want a lot more;" The offense wasn't too dynamic, but we scored using several different types of plays and made sure the Cowboys couldn't neglect any part of our offense.

Well, they did, but they shouldn't have. Or should have. :)
