View Full Version : Roll Call for the Game Against the Giants

Ok, here is the deal. I do not have a ticket to this game yet, but I know in my heart I need to be there and help contribute to the rowdiness. If I can somehow score a ticket, I am forgoing most of Christmas Eve with my in-laws to be at what is now the most important game of the season for our beloved Redskins. It is very possible that I won't even have a ticket come game day, but it won't stop from leading the charge against the Giants!!!
So... The million dollar questions is....
WHO IS WITH ME!? Who will stand shoulder to shoulder and bring the insanity against our enemy! Who help destroy one of the most penalized offensive lines in football. We can make them false start more than dallass! We have the ability to impact this game even moreso than the last!
Who will carry on the fight!!?
(And yes, I probably need therapy.)

Smoak - EVERYONE on this board is with you - one way or another.
Those going to the game KNOW what has to be done! The 12th man is only strong if we ALL are together.
And the 12th man NOT as the game has to be just as Loud&Proud - whether its in a bar or at home. ...... AND those of you at church that day - hey I understand there is power in there too!
This is it boys and girls. We need to WIN - Bottomline! GO SKINS!!!!!

I don't know, Smoak...I want to go but I have lunch plans with my brother, and then I have loads of Christmas shopping to do. I may catch the tail end of the game on the radio if I get back in time. We'll see...
Ummm...just kidding.
Section 112, Row 1, Seat 1 - I am going to turn that end zone into a war zone.

All I want to do is wander around from tailgate to tailgate making sure everyone is rabid before the game!
I refused to talk about the P word until we beat dallass, but now we as a fan base hopefully know what is at stake!!!
Oh and you joke Superskin, but I actually haven't started my shopping b/c I have been to Skins games 4 out of the past 5 weekends (didn't go to the Rams game). So at some point I have to do that as well. :D

Damn, I know man. I walked around the stadium looking for you and the band before the game but, couldn't find you guys. I guess you must have already gone in.
We need you there for this one. We owe the Giants big time for what happened up there last time. And it's gonna take every last one of us there giving our ALL to get it done.

I will be at the in the nude letting it all hang out.
Just kidding, but I will be there for the biggest game of the season. Being the 12 man, and hopefully losing my voice. I am trying to get a Cooley Jersey before I go, but I don't know if I can. I will at least wear my Ramsey Jersey with my Redskins Hardhat.
This is the first game that I have ever gone to that meant something. I have only been to two others. Vs New Orleans during the Spurrier year, and Vs AZ during Shotty in January. I can't wait!

helimech24 - All games mean something if only to the fan. :)
I was at that AZ game and I'll never forget freezing to DEATH in the upperdeck with a chick who probably thought I was clinically insane. She wasn't a sports fan and there was only maybe 20,000 people there...

I was in the upperdeck too, but me and my buddy moved down to endzone seats after halftime. That game meant a lot to me because it was my first game ever. I also remember it raining too. But I still had so much fun, that I didn't care.

I'll miss you too, hun, but I saw you in action Sunday and I KNOW you are capable. For this HUGE game, I felt the need to head down to what I like to call the "FRONT LINE" of the 12th Man Battle - first row end zone (Marching Band side). That being said, I am so friggin proud of the 219/220 cheering section - I'd call it "Supe's Soldiers" if that didnt sound so self-serving.
The excitement there extends all the way back to the obstructed view seats. I have never seen a group of fans with concrete pillars in their face be more rabid and loud than those guys. Have you ever noticed that many of the "Let's Go Redskins" and "_____ Sucks" chants come from back there? They use their feet - and those metal rafters - to perfection.

I think should get a little fan mosh/bounce going before we head into the stadium... Similar to what the players do before a game... Either way, I am finding a way in even if I have to spend the rest of the offseason in marriage counseling b/c I missed Christmas Eve...

The dallass game was intense b/c of the rivalry. This one will be intense b/c of the playoffs and revenge factor on the line.

guys, i lost my voice just by yelling and screaming in my own house last week! you all need to be twice as amped for me because as big as last week's game was, this week is even bigger. the 12th man has to work on saturday, just like the players and coaches do. always remember that we/you all ARE the team!
here's to the 12th man and the 'skins....... go slay those giants baby.....!

smoak,
I'll pay for your game ticket if you streak with hailRedskins.com painted across your chest and smoak across your back, at the end of the game of course. I'll need video proof from the internet or other source since they won't show it on TV.

Oh, I'll be there. My friend and I plan to bust out the setup we haven't used for almost a year and a half - the Madden-in-the-trunk. We plan to have a big TV, pull in four hours early, and challenge every Giants fan we see to a little "preview" of the game.
And then, for the second time in a week, I'll yell myself hoarse and enjoy every minute of it. :D

i know everyone is still soaking up that glorious victory over the cowboys. i was at the game, and it was the greatest event that I have ever been a part of, really special. so now, onto the reasons we will beat the NY Giants:
1) Fed Ex Field- I was at the game last night, and that place was rockin. It really was unbelievable. Eli Manning already has enough trouble on the road, and in a high pressure, hostile environment like fed-ex field, he will STRUGGLE greatly. he was terrible against the chiefs, and that was a home game. The 12th man will be electric come christmas eve.
2) Our team- watching our team play last night really was amazing. The defense looks like theyre finally playing as one team unit, and theyre really playing some amazing, agressive football lately. Watchin the giants chiefs game, tiki's stats suggest he had a field day. I watched the entire game, and most of his runs seemed like they were 2 or 3 yard runs, but he had a 50 yarder, a 40 some yarder, and a couple other pretty long runs, all due to TERRIBLE chiefs tackling. I dont see that happening this week to our team. The defense is playing much better, and the giants offense is relying completely on Tiki now. If we containt tiki at all, we win this game. end of story. Our team will come out ready for this game.
3) Eli Manning- Eli, in his second year, only has 2 career road wins. One was against San Fransisco, which really shouldn't count . The other was against the chock full of injury Philadelphia Eagles, and Eli did EVERYTHING he could to lose that game for the Giants towards the end of the game, and they barely pulled it off. He hasnt seen anything close to the way Fed Ex Field was yesterday, and he won't be able to deal with it.
4) The Line- Our O Line has been playing better the past month or so, getting better every game. Theyve controlled opponents D-Lines, and we've been pounding teams. Obviously, losing Randy Thomas hurts, but hopefully ray brown will play like a man posessed. Also, The D line played amazing last night. With a full, healthy d-line, we should be able to pressure Eli and do the same thing we did to Bledsoe to him. We need the D-line to step up big in this one.
5) We need this game more- the Giants are basically in the playoffs. The Skins aren't quite yet. This game is more important for our team at home than it is for them. That's not to say that they dont want this game, cuz they will be fired up too- it is a division game- but we NEED this. enough said
6) Joe Gibbs and Greg Williams- playcalling was absolutely amazing on both sides of the ball against the cowboys. also, preparation during the week of practice must have been perfect because we absolutely STOMPED them. many have questioned gibbs playcalling at points this season, even me at times (like the 4th quarter collapses) the blitzes were awesome yesterday.

LOL! Yeah, I got a free pass too. I'll be driving down from NYC and missing our families Xmas eve dinner at the Four Seasons, I just have to be back in time for a "Night Before X-mas" reading as it's our daughters first Xmas.....
I had to tell her, "Look, I love you, but I've loved the Redskins for almost 30 years, and you for only 3, so....."
Needless to say, don't use that one if you plsn on having sex for the next 2 weeks!!!!!
But it's worth the 8 hours in the car and sitting in the cold if I can look back and tell my future Redskin fan daughter that I was there when.....

Wow, sounds like a lot on "non regulars" are going to be there!!!?? Maybe we could all meet up or something? I am looking into a couple last minute opportunities to get in and shake my false-start maker! We need to rattle those Gnats reall good!

Heck yeah I'm with you!!! I'll be cheering and banging on the fence like crazy this week.

We have to remember even with a win against the Giants there will still be work to do against Philly. So if....WHEN we win you must chant "We Want Philly" at the end of the game just as you did this week!

It's a shame that I won't be able to meet any of you for tailgating. I have to work until noon, so I have to rush over to the park and probably run in to make the kick off. But at least I get to go to the game.

Wow, I am really impressed at the turnout! We'll have to make some definitely plans at some point. I know my buddy bought a green parking pass.... I''ll check with him to see if he has a parking preferance.

If you are at work until noon, there is no way you'll make kickoff, You would be lucky not to miss the entire 1st quarter. I would recommend cutting out of work no later than 11:00.

I am right down the road at Andrews Air Force Base. Will it take me an hour to get into the stadium?
BTW, I might be able to get out at 9am from work for some tailgating, but I won't know until Saturday.

By 11:00 the roads leading into the parking lots are jammed and by the time you get parked, you'll be standing in long lines to get into the stadium. This is why FedEx always appears only half full at the beginning of games, arriving late is as much a tradition in the Washington area as are traffic jams.
I always arrive at least 3 hr's before game time and enter the stadium 1 hr before.

It's official, I'll be going to the game on Saturday! Axe was kind enough to hook me up with his tickets this week, so I will be bringing it STRONG in his absence.
We're going to have to find a place to hookup for the tailgate. I know that smoak will have something up his sleeve for the pregame.
Many thanks to Axe for ignoring the critics, taking a chance on an underdog fan like me with a prior history of fan-related injury and standing strong in the fact of adversity. ;)

I was thinking that we continue the semi tradition of following the marching band around the stadium ending in a friendly mosh bounce before going into the stadium!
Oh... You guys are talking about something else? I get corn-fused easily.

My 15-month old son got admitted into the hospital this morning (with RSV -- like a severe cold that can easily turn into pneumonia.) He'll be alright, but might not be discharged until Saturday. Long story short, my wife won't be going to the game with me -- if I end up going at all. (She has given me the green light to go, by the way. Good wifey.) I have two tickets in the Club Level. I am looking for someone to use my wife's ticket -- I would rather not go alone. We live in Glen Allen (Richmond). Contact me soon. I'd like to get this resolved.
Thanks,
Don

I just got two tickets for section 111 Row 18 off of Ebay...so now i am going to the Game!!!!
This will be only my 3rd NFL game - I went to the the redskins/seahawks earlier this season and my parents took me to an eagles/cardinals game way back when i was just a young tike.
Either way, i got two tickets and a red parking pass so i am there. THe only problem is i have no one to go with (I live in eagles/steelers country). So i am either going to end up trying to scalp the ticket or if someone here needs a ticket pm me and i'll sell it to them to cover what i paid for it. Either way i hope to meet up and finally meet with some of you fellow HR members at a tailgate somewhere. Let me know if there is anywhere specific.

I figured if I am going to wear the #28 jersey, I have to do it.

I'm rolling deep with about 12 of my loudest most hard-core Redskins fan friends. We have 1 extra ticket between us so if you know any Redskins fans who want an extra club level ticket on the 15 yard line, PM me ASAP. First come first serve and I think you're going to have to meet me at the game. I'm not sure what lot I'll be in but it will probably be the dead tree green lot although I will be parking my vehicle in the nearest orange lot. I'll be there before 10:00 so we can exchange cell numbers and I'll tell you what parking lot number I'm at.
On that note, does anyone know if F53 is the in or near dead tree lot?
