Anyone else see this show? A friend of mine was watching season 2 dvd last night, and was right in the middle of the season when I watched it. Talk about a good show, I was just about nearly hooked as soon as I saw it. Very good show, and its very well written. Just thought i'd share a thought or two about it.

At first I could not stand this show. But it really grew on me and I am really looking forward to the next season to start! (Jan)
A little to much skin in the show for me, but the comp animation and plot is really good.

Love it....we had an earlier thread about it this fall....check the archives if you're interested.....I grew up watching the origional series but the new one takes the cake. Im worried about some of the plot twists for the upcoming season, from the previews I got a sneaking suspicion that Apollo could be a cylon too...... !

I gotta admit I haven't been watching this one, but it would take a lot to get me off the Firefly bandwagon.

Didn't know there was a thread about this earlier in the year, but I was very impressed with the writing and the acting. The f/x are good for a TV show, but the series is very, very well done.

I love BSG. I usually don't get hooked to any TV series, but I thought this one was incredible. I'm definitely looking forward to the next season. Parts of the 2nd season were a little bit suspect as far as quality, but still thoroughly enjoyable.

I think it's already going to last longer than the original, which pales by comparison in terms of writing, etc. I cannot believe the geeks go defend the "original" as being better. It's like saying Gilligan's Island is better than "Lost".

How could that be? His father is the commander.

If I'm going to check it out, what comes first? miniseries or season 1?

oooooooh Bad idea....gotta see it on a decent TV to appreciate the realistic effects. It will be hard to watch on that little screen.

BSG is the reason high definition TV was created.
Did you know Starbuck was in the movie "Halloween Resurection"? She really lost her head. :lol1:

The resolutions actually much better than you'd expect. Have you gotten the chance to play with one yet? It's pretty impressive.

Well, watched the miniseries. Hated the first two parts, 3rd one and most of the 4th didn't really do anything for me, but now I feel strangely addicted. I might keep watching, but I probably won't pay for any more of it.

The mini-series is the setup, the season is what knocks you down. It really is soooo worth it. And I'm not a sci-fi guy.

I felt that the premise was kinda cool, but a lot of the miniseries seemed badly written and badly acted. Does that get any better?

I'd have to say yes, but I don't think the writing or acting was bad to begin with. It definately turns on the intensity of them being on the run in the first episode. If you have a high speed connection you can watch the season one finale online at the scifi homepage to get a taste of the season.

Well I respect your opinion but I have to disagree...this is the best written and acted Sci fi series on TV right now...and possibly ever.

I don't think we're really disagreeing all that much, I'm not the one that said it was poorly acted.

It seems pretty obvious to me that the cylons are able to produce "copies" that are seemingly as human as can be. I was really just joking around, just saw a clip where Apollo is sleeping and he wakes up with this wild weird look in his eye, like someone flipped a switch on. I have to admit I have no idea from that little teaser whether or not thats what was going on, It just seems to me as if the cylons will continue to infiltrate the crews aboard the battlestars.

Ok who watched the new episode this past Fridaty night? Man I thought they did a great job of keeping it moving ...seems Admiral Kayne is more than just a little hateful, she thinks she omnipotent, I hope StarBuck does her in next week. Did anyone catch the preview, you see her and the Admirals guy pass each other and wish one another happy hunting, I dont think he likes the Admiral either.
