I have mixed feelings on this.
I was just fussing about the Tampa Bay player who is sitting out because he isn't happy with the contract that he just signed last year. He's wanting more money.
So now the Redskins don't think that BD played well enough last year to make what his contract says he should be paid. I don't like the double standards thats going on right now.....

However, he's our most important d-lineman by far. This stinks.

There in lies the problem BC. Kind of one of the neediest position we felt we needed to address in the off-season or draft and it relatively went untouched.

We should have gotten rid of him and resigned Gardner any way. Cut him now and hope Haley and Cowsett can do the Job Lets not forget that Wynn can play DT

If Cerrato is to be believed, and I don't have any reason not to believe him at this point, what they offered him in the restructured deal is essentially the same money, just with a lower base and with incentives that he has easily accomplished in the past. If what Cerrato is saying is true, then I can't understand what Big Daddy is waiting on. To my knowledge, you don't need an agent to sign a contract, so he may use that as an excuse but it's not a good one.
Also, Cerrato said that a decision may be made as early as tomorrow on his status.

It was funny, George Michaels asked Vinny when BD will make the decision and Vinny just had the funny look like, sh$t, I don't know. He just said you have to ask BD.

If they are offering incentive clauses that are easily reached, it shows that big daddy just wants to sit on the line and not really play if he does not accept the offer. I, myself have mixed feelings on this matter. No use getting all these other great players if the opposing offense runs right up the middle. If big daddy is let go, Trotter will be tested up the middle I believe.

Vinny is famous for that "deer in the headlights" look

That is the problem. Players want that cash guranteed, they dont want that tied to play. AND it should be.

Better to sit him until some new deal is reached. We can't deal with even more dead cap space.
