Moose Johnson called one of the most openly biased games that I have ever heard from a commentator yesterday. He repeatedly questioned officials' calls against the Giants, and defended other equally debateable calls against the Redskins. At one point, even Goose had to say, "Cmon, Moose" after the no-call on Shawn Springs that Plax was begging for. Johnson tried to say that if youre going to call the hold of Griffen, which he said "shouldn't have been called at a crucial point of a big game like this" even though he admitted it was a hold, then you had to call interference on Springs there.
Moose, sorry your beloved Cowgirls got stomped last week, but that does not give you the right to abandon certain standards of professional journalism in a petty attempt to regain some lost pride. He should never be able to commentate a Skins game again.

Aichman>mooooose any day of the week.

I agree, he was biased as ***Spence*** calling the game yesturday. But it didn't matter this time since we were winning. :D

Nobody wants to see the Redskins succeed. I watched ESPN later at night hoping Berman and Tommy were going to say some positive things about the Skins and maybe have a little clip on them, but they barely mentioned them.

True, but Tom Jackson did give Santana his game ball that he hands out at the end of the show. I'm surprised it was Jackson who gave it to him. I figured it would go to Shaun Alexander for tying Priest Holmes TD record.

Yeah I saw that. That was cool, and I like Berman and Tommy. But I'm just still waiting on my Redskins piece from any Pre-game or Post-game show. A piece about the whole team and how we've catapulted into the playoff race. I guess I won't hold my breath.

The no call on 4th down was the right call. There was a bump, yes, but Springs went for the ball. Got it too. Moose is just stupid. At least last week Aikman was honest about how terrible the girls are, and how great the Skins were.

I despise both Berman and Jackson. Don't like either one. :)

Like you, i'm waiting for a meaningful piece about the Redskins. I think next weekend we'll get some love. If not, so be it I say. We'll keep on winning...lol

Why does Moose ALWAYS seem to get assigned to our games? I think they should have some kind of rule that says former NFC East players cannot report on a NFC East rivalry game....

Get rid of him, I think he will be a Cowgirl his whole life. :weak: :dalassuk:

Err... we had one of those. And then we got blown out 36-0. That was bad.

I posted in the game thread yesterday that I thought Moose was being pro Giants. But it's like that with most of the national media.
Berman and Jackson for the second straight week didn't talk about us winning as much as they talked about the Cowboys and Giants playing badly. It's like someone's tying their strings when it comes to giving our team compliments.
On NFL Total Access last night they were replaying that hold on the Toomer TD. They froze the frame before they actually showed the hold which prompted Terrell Davis to say, "that's not a hold." But then they continued the replay and clearly the guy did a take-down on Wynn which made Eisen say something like, "you can tell we have Giants fans running the replays."
It's media like them, SI, Pasta, etc., that I don't pay attention to. Let them continue their bias against Snyder and the team. But they all respect Joe Gibbs now and that's who's going to lead us to respect.

i noticed the bias as well. moose threw one too many lead blocks. i'd like to run into him on the street. now that he's off the juice that is.

Moose still holds a grudge.
We've told him that he's sucked for so many years as a Cowboy, that he's been permanently scarred for life!

Tommy openly said that he was a dallas fan in week 2 when we played the girls.

As much as I hate all former cowboys, Aikman is a fine commentator. He's one of the game's best and there's a reason he gets assigned to the national games. It is a bit suprising though that he can string together more than 2 words after the hit Lavar gave him. Another reason I like him is that Cowboy fans hate him as an analyst. They call him a turncoat because he doesn't massage their egos during Cowboy broadcasts. Honestly, what good could you possibly say while your former team is getting spanked by their arch rival in the biggest game the two teams had played in 10 years?

dick stockton on play-by-play was equally as biased, also. as for johnston, i recall him spurning skins and norv turner when he was a free agent. actually, other than aikman and phil simms the analysts on nfl telecasts stink.

I looked at that play today and I swear it was Burbich that initiated the contact.

Phil Simms is awful, but after watching tonight's game I would have to say that the Sunday Night Crew is absolutely the worst of the bunch.

He needs to take lessons from Troy Aikmen who seems to have the ability to separate himself from the girls and move on to be an unbiased journalist.

Whether he argues for or against us, I ahve always felt he lacked something upstairs. Aikman on the other started out as an atrocious color guy and now he can really carry a booth... So I don't have dallass bias. I don't even think moose is bad really... just stupid... as in unintelligent. You can't lead with your head as much as he did and still be the brightest bulb on the tree.

Agreed.
Moose ARE big and dumb, anyway;)

I was very surprised at how gracious and unbiased Aikman was for the most part. He's getting to be one of the best, but almost all the announcers suck so that's like being the smartest of the cowboys fans, you're still stupid.
