lol.....that has to be a typo. they know the guys name is derrick, if SS said doug, the post could've easily changed it. you see what i mean?

Nope Spurrier is famous for messing up names..It would not surpise me if he got it wrong. he did it alot last year.

I have to side with Lady on this on this one. If Spurrier did call him Doug they would have edited it out......I hope so at least.

Spurrier does have a problem with names, so I can see them leaving it there. More of a true quote.

It really would have been funny if he blew Jacobs name instead knowing that SS recruited and coached him for the Gators. The Dockery thing is a little funny. Hey, he's a rook at training camp and lucky he has a name at all.

He butchered McCants' name the first few times he said it publicly, so I don't think calling Dockery Doug is a stretch.

SS is very famous for messing up names. It must be a florida thing because FSU's Bowden messes up his guys' names all the time and he recruited them!

While SS is famous for screwing up names, I do have to think that if it had been him the Post would have caught it and edited it. This was probably a typo. Or, hell, maybe Derrick likes being called Doug. I know a guy named Alexander who likes being called Scott. God only knows why.
