Unfortunately, I picked Watson. Thats sad because I think he had a good season last year, and given the opportunity, could play very well here.

if anyone is cut, itll be watson unfortunately. but i said that he will keep 4 backs. i dont know why, i just have a strange feeling he will do that. plus dont forget that watson used to be a WR at PSU, im sure spurrier likes that.

Watson was my choice unless he really shows up in camp and preseason.

I don't see Spurrier holding on to more than 3 RBs this year. He'd have to make room from the 4th RB and it would probably be at WR. And we all know that that wont be happening.

Maybe they should cut one Tight End or Fullback (and keep 4 tailbacks). In the Spurrier offense, how important is the FB or TE?

I voted "none" because I just think the other shoe has not dropped yet about our running backs. I think there is trouble with Canidate. I've got a weird feeling about the position right now and suspect that's where we'll see the biggest upset/surprise of the preseason.

and your upset urprise is?

Mine is simply this, the starting role goes to Ladell Betts, with Morton seeing action as well.

That's my thinking, as well, Mark. I'm not too confident in it yet, but I think there is a problem with Canidate and that if Spurrier believes Watson is a better player, he will keep Watson and dump Canidate [with Betts taking the starting job].

yeah and you figure, dumping Canidate is the same as dumping Loverne, since that is what you gave up. Plus a foruth rounder. Not bad, but we'll have to see. Can't wait for FAD day so I can get my own feel on where the running thing is going.

I chose Canidate. Basically because no one chose him and I just don't know how he will do. I don't know if he is durable and if he can block. I know Watson can. He was my favorite after last season. I think Trung is a little over rated at this point to have not even been tested.

Just like I was rooting for Skaggs,...... I have to Run with Watson now.

I just don't want us to be too fast to judge. I don't even know if preseason will be enough to tell...... Remember how good Danny Worseful was against San Fran in preseason last year. I almost went and bought a #17 jersey. So we need to just hope for a fair camp and not worry about looking bad if we release who ever. We need to do what is best for the team. Winning tends to make people forget about the how stupid some of the decisions seemed.

Let's Just Win! ! !

Can I vote "I don't know yet". I do believe there are some issues with Candidate but we'll have to wait and see.

Yup, it'll be Watson...probably my favorite of the ones we have too.,.,.

I voted Watson. I think Spurrier is in love with Canidate's speed. Betts was drafted, and Morton is for returning kicks. Time will tell!

I'm going with WRSK1NS on this one guys. They brought in Candidate for a reason. Betts was drafted and I believe they'll keep him for the tough yards Davis used to get. Morton stays because of his special teams play, that's a no-brainer. Skins didn't go to arbitration for nothing on this guy. It will be Watson I'm afraid because no way do the skins keep four running backs. I don't have an opinion on Candidate, too early in camp for me to form one on him. And him being in Martz' doghouse doesn't mean anything to me.

I voted none. I think that they all will make the roster.

Gotta go with Watson. He's the odd man out here. Candidate's faster, Betts is stronger, and Morton's the KR.

And it seems quite a few people here have surprisingly little faith in Candidate.... I don't think he'll be the next Priest Holmes, but the fact that he had three games of 150+ yards in 2001 does make me think he'll nab the starting job. Supposedly he fumbles a lot, but that's not really proven yet. And even if he does, so did Stephen Davis, and we all loved him.
