I'm trying to insert an image on to my signature, but when I try to insert an image it just asks for a "url" instead of having a browse button to select the image file from my computer.

It isn't too hard, just follow these steps:

1) Choose the image you want to use. Make sure the size isn't too large (height and width)
2) Upload it to a hosting site like imageshack.us or photobucket.com
3) After the upload, these sites will present you with a URL that you can use for embedding them into forums. Just copy and paste that link into your signature area.
