So - any doubt that Houston will take him with the #1 pick? Do they trade it away since they have Dominack Davis who is a top 10 back and fill more needs?v

Houston is finding out that they have more problems than one first rounder can help. (even if that 1st rounder is Reggie Bush)
If they were smart, they would trade down, get a real Offensive Tackle (Da Brick) and gain another 1st rounder to use on the offense. They already have a talented QB, RB and WR...might as well stretch the talent that the #1 pick can command.

That's what I think too, but the media has hyped this guy up so much making him out to be the saviour of some franchise. Gonna be a tough decision.

Well said, but unfortunately for Texan fans, the FO isn't looking too smart nowadays.

I think that they are going to take him. I agree that they should trade to get more picks but maybe they can trade if they really want to later in the year. Just having Reggie Bush will definately get more fan support and money for merchandise.:)

Trading down would be the best thing the Texans can do. Look how much abuse Carr has taken over the years. Wasn't he sacked over 60 times again this year?

Houston went 2-14 this year with a 1000 yard back...if they do pick Bush, they better do something in FA to improve the rest of the team (especially the o-line) or else they aren't going anywhere...

Yes...he has been a punching bag for the past three years. They have been cursed since the day they drafted Boselli in the expansion draft. Its time to draft a real OT and fill in the other pieces as needed.

Jon Runyan is a FA this offseason as well. If they could nab a Dbrickshaw in the draft and sign Runyan, that would go a long ways towards improving that offense.
Getting rid of Capers helps too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only team with multiple draft picks next year is Denver -- thanks to the Skins dealing to get Jason Campbell last year. And I don't see them trading up for Bush. I bet a lot of teams will be offering a lot of players/picks to trade up and Houstoun will have to think long and hard about that decision.

i agree. the 1st pick this year has a ton of value (maybe the most in awhile?) they need to trade down and fix a ton of holes all over their team. that being said, theyll take bush with the 1st pick.

i've been saying for awhile that is their best option. domanick davis is prolly the most underrated back in the league. give him a solid line and i'll bet that he becomes known. they could prolly get a killing by trading down. if they sign someone like runyan and another interior linemen, then they have something to work with.

they need to trade down, davis/johnson/carr could be anasty tandem if they had a line...they could trade down and get alot of picks this year and next year, bush is the biggest calling for a nonQB pick in a long while...the scary thing is, he might live up to it....

They have known for two years now that they have needed offensive line help and they have done nothing to address this problem. It wouldn't suprise me if they failed to do so again. I hope for Reggie's sake that they do trade the pick because he's not gonna have any fun trying to dodge multiple defenders in the backfield. And how has David Carr not killed Charley Casserly yet?

This draft pick is incredibly valuble and I think the Texans would be smart to rip someone off kinda like how the Chargers did to the Giants last year. A RB is the last thing the Texans need. Davis is their best player.

They could totally pick the Jets clean considering their need for a QB and the innate abilities of Reggie Bush to make any team a contender. I think the Jets pick 4 or 5, so they're currently out of range for Bush, Leinart or Young.

The Jets need a RB more than QB. There is still the chance that Pennington comes back, and Martin is getting old. I don't think they'll take the chance on Pennington though. I think they will trade up, draft Leinart, and try to sign Alexander.

We'll see. If he blows up tonight, I would have to think that he would be. If he melts down, maybe not. He's easily the #2 QB in this draft and wouldn't go past 5. Really, there's very little upward movement he could gain but a whole lot that he could lose if he got hurt next year.
