It's been a long, long time since Redskins fans have been able to witness the "walk of shame" in Philly. I hope someone took pictures with a camera phone...

Saturday at 430. Look at for the know it all buc fans running around your local bars and their fancy websites. They sound and look legit but its reminiscent of the hollywood facade, all exterior no interior!

Last night there were more people hyped about the Skins than the New year!!

Philly fans are just scum....trash talking is one thing but physical assault is another. It happens way too often in Philly.....and the shocking thing is philly fans are actually proud of their behaviour.....it's wrong...just wrong to act that way.....

Just got back. The Post said the crowd might be 50/50 -- seemed like 90-95% Eagle fans...(I was in the upper deck). On the radio postgame they said it was a mellow crowd -- I wouldnt want to see a hyped up Eagle crowd if this was mellow. A lot of a-hole chants at Skins fans, couple of fights, and a number of beers being thrown...and none of the Skins fans near me were provoking. A few sections over -- 225?? 3 or 4 cops went up and hung around for awhile -- couldn't tell what that was all about. On the radio they said Portis' mom and brother got moved to the Redskins sideline after mixing it up with the Eagle fans. Anyone near them?

It was a tough one to watch for 3+ quarters -- but once the Skins went up 24-20 and the Eagles turned it over, a lot of the Eagles fans started to head for the exits -- which shocked me since there was still about 6-7 minutes left. Once Taylor scored, we OWNED the Linc -- you could hear HTTR and we were jumping around high-fiving like a bunch of idiots...Fantastic.

What?! I saw them on TV on the sidelines but wasn't sure why, I was listening to Sonny and Sam. They didn't mention why. If the fans did that its not really an all time low for them but wow. They got what they deserved from Clinton himself.

I was at the game in a section with one other redskins fan. There were a few A-Holes who kept yelling things at us for the most minor plays, incompletions, 6 yard gains by moats. and obviously they were bringing it when they scored their touchdowns. As soon as portis scored his 22 yrd. run i went crazy and they had the gall to tell me to calm down.....well that didn't happen. By Taylor's fumble recovery i looked around the stadium and you see just redskins fans going crazy cheering throughout the entire stadium. Everyone showing their colors and high fiving all around.

Who's surprised? This is the way Iggle fans ALWAYS behave, and yet they always try to make us believe they don't act like that. Iggle fans are a new breed of scum that walks the Earth.

It's time that the true Eagle fans quit enabling their hooligans and take back their stadium.

We had a good pre-game tailgate. There was a really good Redskins crowd in one section of the parking lot. Beagles fans were slightly more mellow than normal, but if you walked the parking lot with a Redskins jersey there were many comments from the rude, crude to the obscene.

The game itself was about 80-90% full. The stadium was windy and cold for the high up seats. Only about 5-10% there were Redskins fans. The Iggles fans were not too fired up and the house never rocked like in FedEx. The Linc's stadium design doesn't keep in sound like in Lanham and their fans weren't super energized.

In my nosebleed section Smeagol fans worked on a group of four Redskins fans for 3 1/2 quarters until the 'skins fans were ejected. The 'skins fans were mouthing and shouting back at the Eagles fans taunts, which was a mistake. We moved so we could watch the best part of the game (and stay away from this big argument) and were fairly quiet. Smeagol fans mostly hung around until about 4 minutes left, then about 50% departed.

Post-game for us was nice at the parking lot and most of the Iggles fans had left, so few exit problems. I saw Smoak, Skins4Life, others in the tailgate. Great meeting some other hR folks!

Colkurtz, how bad is it? We've all heard how they have magistrate there and a lot of us have seen how they behave at FedEx. Do they act the same way in Philly, or do we simply see super bold fans come here to try and stir things up? So examples might be helpful, if it's worse than just jawing and obscenities.

Let me try to explain the day from my perspective:

Smoak came to pick me up in the AM, got to The Stink at 10:45am. Lot had some Eagles fans in it already, lots were supposed to open at 11am, guess the cops let them in earlier. Met up with halter91, RSfan10, hailskins, PGiddy, openallnight, skinz4lyfe, colkurtz, and many other HR and various Skins fans in our section. (sorry if i forgot anyone, brain is still on overload, sure Smoak will help with the details!)
Well around noontime, a virtual CARAVAN of Skins fans started to stream in, car by car, by car, by car, by van, by bus, by car......it was AWESOME to hear all the horns honking and the shouts of "HTTR!!" from everyone as they passed by - just blissful! Lots of Egirls fans were getting pissed at our turnout, i just savored every little bit of their jeers and moronic cursings, living up in the Philly area has had me have to put up with WAY too much BS over the last five years, this was SO sweet! I actually felt proud and ENJOYED how pissed and demoralized their rants towards us were...HAHAHAHA!!! Just laughed in every one of their faces, and they had nothing to back up their "duh, Redskins suck" or "get off of our turf" weaka$$ed comments.
The game was great from our section, 134. Plenty of obnoxious Egirls fans, tons of Skins fans there too, ALL of them screaming and chanting and pointing at each other in acknowledgement of our Skins brother and sisterhood we all share, was SO awesome, I'll never forget the feeling of completely OWNING The Stink when the game ended and all of the thousands of Skins fans piled out onto the concourse, all of us SCREAMING the HTTR fight song, high 5-ing, hugging each other in jubilation, no matter WHO we were!!! IT WAS SUBLIME!

SO many details will be given by Smoak when he writes his take in this thread, but to close, I'd just like to say to walk out of that cesspool, head held high, SO effing proud.......was just incredibly PRICELESS.:)

Yeah the fans in the cheap seats were more interested in causing trouble with these four 'skins fans than watching the game. We moved away to see better and to get away from this buffonery. The 'skins fans just needed to keep quiet but they kept talking smack back....

Here were some of the low lights from the lowest fans in the NFL:

1) The areas near the porta-potties were surrounded by tailgating Eagles fans who looking for trouble. I ignored the verbal BS b/c it isn't worth it... But they were doing thing like throwing footballs at the porta-pot when you went inside. Immature and really just pointless. The two guys drilled the football at me on the way out (missed of course), and angry as I was, I let it go. The the one guy was talking to me and his buddy tried again to drill me, but I saw it and caught the ball. I was half tempted to throw it over the fence, but I knew that would start trouble so I threw it back nicely and bit my tongue. Then the wouldn't touch the ball for awhile b/c a Skins fan had touched it... Morons.

2) On my way back from the dangerous porta john row, a gut with no burgundy and gold on whatsoever says to me in a very whispered voice " Go Skins". It was odd and took me a second to figure out he was sincere. Well, the guy, Bob, and I chatted for awhile but an Iggle fan came running over yelling and screaming about how he was going to kill Bob and talked about stabbing him and everything else. I jusmped in the middle and played peacemaker trying to keep the situation calm as I could tell the Iggle fan was all talk.... But I have to say I was a little worried. Thankfully halter came wandering over b/c the two of us are bigger guys and it diesd down. Bob came over and hung with us at my invitation.

3) The profanity was off the hook. I think I heard everything but the C-word. It was said to and around kids. It was said constantly. The most popular was the a-hole chant and foreskins comment. I easily ignore words. No problem there.

4) The worst for me is when Portis went down and the bums were cheering. I was quiet during the game and most of the Iggle fans in our section were fine... I didn't rock the boat until the Portis thing and then I went off. I was yapping about the low character BS and how the city would never see a Lombardi trophy. I was furious!!! The past couple weeks both dallass and Giants players went down and Skins fans cheered once the person was helped up. I was livid and that got me into making noise...

4-b) The momma Portis thing was insane, but par for the course. I didn't know until after the game.

5) The oddest thing was the old drunk Iggle fan who came over during our HUGE group photo and he was swinging around his junk. Literally??? HE was saying something that I am sure he felt was classy but it was just sick and sad.

All that aside, it was totally worth celebrating with everyone and enjoyin the playoff berth that we earned!

Best part of the game was about 2 minutes to go at the end and the overall 10% [who were Redskins fans] were mostly what was left in the stands! Cheering for our team going to the playoffs............. while the Iggles fans filed out to an empty post-season.

I sat in the lower level near the corner where ST scored the fumble return and CP scored the 22 yard TD. Some fans were actually nice, but a few were complete a-holes.

I have to say the coolest part (other than winning and making the playoffs of course) was high-fiving Sean Taylor after the game.

I also have to say that many of the Iggle fans were very cool. I had a couple Iggle fan friends there as did others. It was a great day, but you just had to ignore the BS b/c they wanted you to give them an excuse to jump you in numbers.

Absolutely correct. It was fine really... As long as you don't add fuel to the fire and talk back you are fine. they really only strutted around when they had numbers.

I have to get to bed... I'm exhausted.

Oh and one last thing. A group of really great Skins fans had their tires slashed and an HR member and his friend had ice and trash thrown at them when they pulled into the parking lot.

The fans actually weren't tool bad in my section (205). No fights or anything. There was one guy who talked the entire time about what he was going to do to me after the game, whether or not they won. I didn't take him too seriously because he seemed to be friendly with some of the other Skins fans in the section, but it might have been my efforts to start defense chants that were pissing him off... There were at least 25 people wearing B&G in my section alone, which was cool, but I agree with other posters that no more than 10% of the fans in the stadium were there for the Skins.

Top 3 non-football highlights of the day:
3: The Eagles fan directly in front of me who passed in his seat during the first quarter and had to be taken home by his friends.
2: The number of proud Skins fans cheering at the end of the game. The Linc truly was bleeding green tonight- all the green was bleeding out into the parking lot while the burgandy and gold watched the final minutes.
1: Meeting so many of you guys at the tailgate. Great to finally be able to put a few faces to screen names.

We had an alley of Redskins fans tailgating where we were and when the caravan and buses arrived, it was nothing but a big party. I have never tailgated that long before a game because I normally have to go in early but this was sweet, very sweet.

I believe Smoak covered everything I was thinking about. That guy waving his junk around was an idiot then he tried to be nice. He did do a good lil rap though towards the end and they shook hands with a lot of folks.

I sat in section 135 with PGiddy and we didn't have a problem at all with the Iggle fans there. I actually spoke with one of the several times in between my cursing Harris out.

But, like everyone said the end of the game was great. Especially watching the players go into the tunnel and sea of Skin's fans that were cheering them on as they entered. Smoak, Jeremy, Pgiddy and myself made our way down to the front with some other fans and starting bolting HTTR.

I do have some pics to post but I'm too tired to do it tonight so I'll do it tomorrow.

I see the LEAGUE taking action on this and if we don't stop this kind of bad behavior by fans, the Federal government's going to get in it, because the size of the venue warrants the Patriot Act. Not rocket science for anyone understanding, personal safety, business, protection, venues, city planning, marketing, LAW.

I was in that section or I honestly would have jum;ed in. Our section was really tame except a few people flicking beer drops (not sure why) and offering me a tissue. That was nothing. All the Skins fans deserve props b/c I know there were a lot of sections worse than ours.

Another reason I was composed is b/c I knew they would throw the Skins fans out first. At FedEx I think they doo a good job of throwing out the trouble maker.

I hope they shook his left hand. :D

Nice post!
This is an interesting and I believe accurate take on the situation.
As we know, sooner or later the govt.will be involved.
That will mean no beer sales[ie Jets game],enforcement of open container laws, among other things.

I do notice many fewer beer vendors than in FedEx.

Another reason I was composed is b/c I knew they would throw the Skins fans out first. At FedEx I think they doo a good job of throwing out the trouble maker.

I saw the game in Tampa earlier this year, and I noticed the same thing there as in Fed Ex, I saw WAY more buc fans being arrested, or ejected than Skins fans as they were starting most of the trouble. Philly's just absolutly the worst. Bunch of knuckle draggers that haven't evolved past the past ice age, by looks, and by actions....

Yep - we had ice thrown at our car when my and my friend pulled in. For the most part, the eagle fans around me werent that bad. We sat in club level c37, so that's probably why we didnt hear a bunch of crap. However, there was this one idiot sitting directly in front of us that kept tellin us to sit the F down on every play. Finally, I snapped back at him, saying that he needs to chill and shut his mouth, at that point his father, around 55 or so stood up and was ready to swing. At that point, a few eagles fan were around and they were yelling at the father and son morons to sit down and shut up. Kinda cool that they called out their own.

As we were leaving, a few fans were wishing us luck in the playoffs. But all in all, besides the ice thing, the idiot with his junk, portis' mom getting crap thrown at her, and.......wait, they do suck.

Myself and 14 other seniors from my school went up. We stopped at a reststop a little over halfway to Philly and met about 10 other skins fans on their way to the game.

We arrived at the stadium around noon and as we pulled into the parking lot several Eagles fans approached our van and told us "you better not come in here". We got our cookout going and then started a game of pick up football with some eagles fans. Most of them were friendly, except for one old guy who took the game a little too seriously and repeatedly threw elbows on our players. But our team rolled over the eagles fans.

On the way to the stadium we marched singing the fight song, and encountered another large group of skins fans waving a flag. Some eagles fan threw things at us as we walked. But the creepiest thing was when one guy got our attention and then cut off this cooked pigs head with a huge knife.

We went into the stadium around 2pm and headed over to the tunnell where the skins were comming out for warm ups. We stayed there for a while then headed back to section 122. Sean Taylor and #68 acknowledged us and got us pumped up.

During the game things weren't that bad. We had a large contingent of skins fans around us, so our section was pretty loud.

As the game ended and after the game was a different story. As the philly fans headed up the stairs to the exits we all headed down the stairs toward the field. We celebrated with other skins fans, and some of us where on the 10pm news singing hail to the redskins. While we were down in the front row we got plenty of threats, and fans behind us started throwing their mostly empty beer cups at us. On the way out we celebrated with all of the other skins fans and recieved threats from almost every eagles fan we saw.

Overall it was incredible, and while there weren't as many skins fans as I had thought there would be there were quite a few. When we bought our tickets the skins were 5-6, but we never doubted that they would run the table. True fans were rewarded with a trip to the playoffs.

Philly fans are the most classless disgusting bunch of people in sports. To attack a player's mom or fans just for cheering for thier team just illustrates this. I hope thier fans never win a championship and are stuck in mediocrity for the duration of thier towns sports futures.

Kudos to all who attended, you could deffinately hear the 'Skins fans throughout the game on TV. In particular at the end of the game, I am sure our Team appreciated your enthusiasum! You all handled yourselves with class, in a stadium filled with some of the biggest a-hole fans on record.

I am wondering if the philly fans were as rough on the lady 'skins fans as they were on the men? I wil hopefully be going to an Eagles game on their turf next year, and want to know what to expect :) I will have my boyfriend and an Eagles fan (one of our best friends) with us, so I am not too worried.

One of the things I love about fedex is that you can all enjoy the game, albeit slighly uncomfortably if you are rooting for the opposing team. I've been known to harass some opposing team fans at FedEx (especially cowboys fans), but its really all in good fun, and normally it ends in laughter or an occassional free beer headed in my direction. Its all a part of the game really, but there is no need to make someone feel physically threatened!

Again, thank you to all who attended the game yesterday! What a game it was, next on the chopping block is tampa bay!
