USC. Too strong and too deep in too many areas.

im going upset. I think Texas has a Decent D and can slow USC down. There O is no joke either. In all honesty I dont see the love fest with USC. People have totally disrespected LSU and Auburn from the last 2 years with this 3peat stuff. However they were clearly number 1 this year but i got a hunch Texas is gonna find a way.

USC is still undefeated and still the champs
.................until proven otherwise.

i still consider LSU as the champs from that year, i dont do the whole split championship thing. but in those terms, its why i dont consider auburn and utah as part time champs from last year.

With the manner USC supposedly beat Notre Dame, I don't think they are capable of losing a game this year. Leinart and Bush need to quickly go pro. With that being said, Texas is the team that may be able to do it. I bet Young, Bush, and Leinart have some amazing highlights from this game.

i'll say bush and leinart, but i still have doubts of young, although i havent really watched him at all this year. but i'd love for ND to halt USC's streak next year on the trojan's home turf. wouldnt be the first time a trojan didnt hold up...

but i still have doubts of young, although i havent really watched him at all this year. You just answered your own question. How can you judge him at all if you haven't seen him play? He never loses a game, is a one man wrecking crew, and everyone on Texas' rosters believes they won't lose with him in the game. Leinart and Bush have one another (hopefully not literally.) LenDale White is a superstar also, as far as I am concerned. Young is the only perennial superstar on Texas' offense.

thats my biggest reason of why USC over texas. maybe if they had young the way he is now last year, with derrick johnson and cedric benson.
people keep talking about how young can run and throw. i think he's gonna need to throw if they ahve any chance.

Like I said earlier in the season - the only team that could maybe beat USC is Indy (but that was when Indy was undefeated so I'm not even sure about that now). ...........USC.

I picked Texas, not really sure why just following my gut but I think Texas is coming into this game with more to prove then USC and will be a little more fired up for it. USC has had a way of letting teams take early leads aganist them then fighting back (Arizona State, Oregon, and ND all did this to them). If they let Texas do it I don't think they'll be able to make up a huge deficiet.

USC has not played a defense near Texas caliber with a QB like Vince Young.
My key players:
Key player offense: QB # 10 Vince Young
Key player defense: SS # 7 Michael Huff

Going with the underdog -- Texas! I'm sick of all the "USC is the greatest" talk.I am also extremely sick of it and I don't want to hear about it and Pete Caroll for the rest of my life. I would love for Texas to smack them tonight and bring the championship to the BIGXII.

neither, I'd like to see both lose :D
...but since I have to chose, I'll go with USC simply because they have Leinart and Bush vs Young...2 vs 1 wins :D

USC by 3 touchdowns. Texas hasn't faced an offense like they will be facing. And I think last year's oklahoma team is better than this year's texas team. Certainly has a better defense and more balanced offense.

Bush needs to follow his blockers and hit the holes instead of trying to be on the highlights every run.

So this is the infamous spread offense. I haven't been able to see many college games this year. Sucks working on Saturdays. How can anyone be serious in evaluating QB talent in this offense? Reminds me of the run and shoot offenses of the early and mid 90's. QB's in that system were usually garbage in the NFL. Only 1 person stands out in my mind in the NFL in the run and shoot offense and that was Warren Moon. Guy was amazing. Anyways, even though USC is down by 6, they seem to be just sleep walking through this game.

Just wait until he has to run behind the Texan Oline. *21 scores TD* Man, White is good.

USC's talent is coming through now. I thought Texas would come in with a chip on their shoulder but it looks like they are losing their intensity and tapping out.

USC realized at halftime that they can beat up the Texas defense, and its showing. Most of the texas defense is hurt with cramps and they can't do anything to stop the USC defense.

Dewayne Jarrett must be Superman or something, he goes up high to catch a pass and gets absolutely sandwiched by two defenders, he falls forward into the endzone, the two defenders crumple to the ground with injuries.
That was a beastly display.

Actually, Vince Young is amazing.

Congrats to Texas, but that first touchdown, which sadly was important in the end, was some serious BS. Not only did Young clearly have his knee down, but he threw it forward. We've complained about bad calls against the skins, that was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. But congrats Longhorns.

I am glad Texas won because I would have voted for Vince Young to be player of the game whether they did or not.

Awful collapse by USC's D at the end. Actually, any D would have collapsed to Young.

Vince Young is sick. If I'm the Texans I might take him over Reggie Bush. I don't like the way Young throws the ball but he seems to be pretty accurate.
