View Full Version : Adding Hosted Images to Your Posts

This procedure should wuld you through how to add 3rd party hosted images to your posts. This example uses imageshack.us, but you could also use photobucket.com or some other 3rd party image hosting service.

In your post:

1) Upload your image over at http://www.imageshack.us.

2) After upload you will see one of the two results screens below based on the height and width of the image you uploaded.

3a) Copy the image URL (highlighted line in screen capture below) into your clipboard for a smaller image, then click the yellow icon with the mountains to bring up a dialog that will allow you to paste in the URL.

3) If the file is larger than a certain size, you might want to use a thumbnail. Imageshack will automatically create a thumbnail for you, as shown on the right hand portion of the image below. To post the thumbnail to the full sized image, highlight the automatically generated URL tag (highlighted line in screen capture below) and paste this into your post.

4) Submit your post.
