Updating previous reports, Mark Maske, of the Washington Post, reports Washington Redskins LB Jeremiah Trotter (knee) participated in both of the day's practices on Monday, July 28. He is working his way back from a torn knee ligament that ended his 2002 season said all went well yesterday. "It feels like I haven't lost a step," Trotter said.

Updating previous reports, Mark Maske, of the Washington Post, reports the Washington Redskins were negotiating with DT Dan Wilkinson's new agent last night and expected to know by their July 29, morning practice whether they will be able to agree to a restructured contract to keep Wilkinson with the team.

"I've been thinking that for quite some time," Smith said. "I'm just happy to be in the position that I'm in right now, to be able to play this game that I've loved to play for so long."
