The latest installment of our 2003 Washington Redskins Position Evaluations is ready. Now up: the offensive line. Despite two standout tackles, the offensive line was a pass-blocking embarrassment for much of last year. After an offseason of spending, will things be much better? Have a look (http://www.hailredskins.com/OL2003Preview.htm) and vote in our poll.

Good article tom
What i think is very different is the OLine was finally addressed this year. I feel pretty damn good about this line, regardless of who starts at the opposite OG position. We have tremendous depth and incredible versitility. Dockery can play OT and OG, Friedman can play all three, Moore can play OG and C, Rod Jones can play OG and OT, just excellent depth and perhaps that is what led to cutting Sulfsted.

Good read. I voted no to the question. I think Moore expertise as a snapper and the fact that he worked with Ram last year will keep him in the lineup. Starting Dockery over Fiore (if he stays healthy) doesn't make sense. We appear to have the luxury of letting this rookie sit and learn for now.

This will be the deepest O line we have fielded since the '91 team and by the end of the season, dare I say, the best performing group in that same time frame? I don't want to jinx them, but I truly feel the the most important FA we signed was Thomas. I think him next to Jansen is going to bother a lot of D line coaches on the other teams this year.

I think no one on our O-line has proven didly-do, besides Jansen & Samuels. I'm counting the new guys FAs, and Dockery in there as well. They haven't proven anything. I've got to see it. This area was a debacle last year. Call me an old grey haired cynic. Wait, I am an old grey haired cynic!

Thomas is a pro bowler????? He hasn't proven anything???? Fiore is a steady veteran who has played for ther 49ers and has started 53 of 59 games he has been in? How can you say these guys are unproven? Have they proved themselevs in DC? Of course not, they just got here. Have they proved themselves in the NFL, in my mind, absolutely!

Depends on the camp Dockery has. To be truthful, I have not heard a pepp about him.
