You've heard that word thrown around a LOT this year. This is the true definition of it.
We have earned our redemption in 2 ways tonight:
1) Beating the team that beat us by one on a bad call, to advance in the playoffs.
2) Beating the team that knocked us out in 2000 on a bad snap.
Now it's time to roll.

I feel a whole lot better now. Can you imagine what the last 7 minutes of this game would've felt like if Norv Turner was on the sidelines instead of Joe Gibbs? I think I would've had to turn the tv off.

Yes it also proved that GW didn't allow another TD. However we know if that kid had held on it was another nail biter for all nails!.
I am not impressed with the up and down running by Betts, but then again, we have sore folks, Portis again was dinged before the game was in its hot spot, Thrash looks a week away from normal speed and Cooley hopefully will be better next week.
I really think Frost has to have a gun to his head to perform better as a punter, but he was a great ST tackler with a little bit of speed. He didnt let that PR punk him out. Good job there.

anybody else hear bob marley's 'redemption song' in their head?
this was a beautiful win for us, and we should never play it down. oh the offense looked bad, our defense was suspect, taylor is a bonehead. forget all of that. the win is what matters most, and we should be able to enjoy it.

i'd also like to add to the list that we stopped alstott when it mattered. that felt pretty darn good. on that note, if he had made that third down i don't think i could have put up with another alstott love fest by the announcers.

Absolute rejection against a team we shoudl have beaten this year and in 1999. It makes it that much sweeter!

Which one would you have rather won? The regular season game or the playoff game? I'll take the playoff game.

Ummmmmmmmm, absolutely, considering if we lost this game, the season would be over.

Amen!!! The Skins are moving on and Gruden, Alstott, and the Bucs can shove that 2 point conversion so far up their noses that...
Well, I am just so happy!!!

8. A forward pass is complete when a receiver clearly possesses the pass and touches the ground with both feet inbounds while in possession of the ball.
http://www.nfl.com/fans/rules/forwardpass
The reciever was not clearly in possession of the ball as he went to the ground. The ball was moving as he was going down and came out while he was down. If the ball was moving as he went down, but did not touch the ground and the reciever regained controll of the ball after he was on the ground, then it would be a catch.
