Who was the Most Valuable Player of a nail biting defensive struggle against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round of the 2006 Playoffs?
##Only two choices should apply Cornelius Griffin and Marcus Washington for sealing the win, but I will add a few more choices anyway. :) Sean Taylor was omitted because he was ejected for a bonehead play##
*L. Arrington: 10 Total Tackles | 1 INT | 1 FF | FR
*C. Griffin: 3 Total Tackles | Game sealing pass defensed that lead to an INT
*M. Washington: 10 Total Tackles | 1 INT | 1 FF | 1 FR
*Other

LaVar Arrington, he had a tremendous freaking game in his first playoff game.

Washington forces a fumble and caught the game winning interception

I voted Griffin. He was the anchor. But really you could give it to Marcus as well. He was all over the field.
And good to have you back Lavar.

I selected other. Griffin, Washington, and Arrington played too good to separate their effort.

Difficult choice, but I went with Marcus because he did not make any errors at all in this game. He played a superb game as did the whole defense.

Marcus Washington...best free agent signing I can remember...and certainly one of the best LB in the league

Washington had 2 ints and made that big pressure play on 4th down.

I voted for Lavar. But on second thought, i'd go with Saleve'a. He was knocking down ball better than our CBs were.

I voted for CG. He starts everything up front and allows the LB's to make plays.

chose Marcus Washington, because he stuffed as a assist on the runs, forced bad passes, intercepted 2 passes, recovered a fumble, kept the TE limited and had about 2 pressures.
Arrington is right there with him, but felt MW's performance covered the whole game. Not sure why LA was pulled, but felt if he were in longer, maybe he would have gotten the nod.

OK I know I am going to catch some heat for this but I voted other and my vote will go for Taylor. I in no way condone the idiotic move to spit in someones face especially in a playoff game, but while he was in there he was the game changer. If not for him we may still be playing OT right now. He had a few brusing hits and made his prescence well known on the field and without him we would not have won this game.

you are right, not just Salevea though. We knocked a lot of balls down today, i wish i knew how many. THe defensive front really played strong.

LaVar. He responded to the negativity with THIS. That takes a LOT.

lavar arrington. 10 tackles and an INT that set up a TD for us in his first career playoff game. way to go LA.

Very close between all three but I'll choose Washington because he got the game clinching INT.

Sean Taylor, he made slow motion look like regular speed when picking up the fumble and he didnt do anything after being ejected after a bogus call..

I refuse to vote on this one. For me it is like somebody asking me blonde, brunette or redhead....If they are all hot, it doesnt matter. All of these guys were absolutely outstanding.
ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!

Macrus Washington has to be the guy. He went all out this game and made 3 HUGE PLAYS. The fumble recovery for a TD, the pressure on Simms on 4th and 2 to give us the ball, and the INT to clinch the win. This guy has been stepping it up and he is amazing.

voted other cause my MVPs are both LaVar, and Marcus. Thanks you guys for playing a great game and making the plays we needed.
Sean would have been but that was just stupid.

Saleve'a/Griffin/Washington were mistake free tonight! Our two DT were the key to the game, stopping every important TB run and knocking down passes at key moments! Marcus Washington was simply "Savoir Faire is everywhere!"

His speed was lacking, but I was wondering what field he was looking at. I thought he had plenty of room to the outside to score, but that's not important.

He was actually going pretty fast, sadly he was being chased by Galloway and cadillac.

I voted for Washington on this one. He seemed to be everywhere on the field and close to the ball. Lavar played by far his best game of the season, but his offsides gave TB a first down, whereas Washington didn't do a thing wrong all game.

I went with Marcus, but Lavar had one hell of a game, so did CG, so did Salve'a.
Lavar may have sealed is pickup next year, one more performance like this and it will be hard to let him go.
Carlos Rogers did a good job as well playing against Galloway most of the time.

Marcus Washington but someone who was not on there, Carlos Rogers, did a heck of a job. He stayed with his man on the dropped touchdown by Tampa Bay. That made a big difference in the outcome of the game.

The entire Defensive unit ! Period! End of Discussion! Without their effort we are not going to be talking about the coming week; we would be onto "next year" already......Think about it!

I gotta go with my man Arrington today baby!!! We all expect what Washington did against the Bucs, he just delivers like that. But Arrington stepped up huge in his first playoff game and was all over the place. INT, FF, and a bunch of tackles and message-sending hard hits. Very proud of Arrington today.

I'm very proud of our whole unit. Theylooked at the game and said, you know what, the offense isn't getting it done today, let's do it for them. That is what a team is about. When one part lacks, the other parts pick up the slack. That's what they did. A true effort from them all.

I think that Washington should get it because he shut them down twice in key situations. They hurry on Simms on 4th and 2 and the game clinching INT.

Sans Griffin, Simms has more time to throw and the linebackers don't make those awesome picks. So him.

Marcus Washington. He always comes up big in crunch time. I give the assist on that play to big Joe for getting a hand on the ball.
Thank you Chrissy Simms. I knew I could count on you to revert to your typical form of having passes tipped and making big mistakes. Maybe he thought Lavar was on his team, I mean he was open.

When did Lavar get rid of his shaded visor? He looked like a freakin monster when he had that thing in. I mean, he's already pretty intimidating, but he looked like a machine with the visor...
Anyways...

We just need the offense to catch up a little, and we will be golden. Score 17 points from the offense and we can beat anyone.
