Not as happy as Cowboy fans, but happy:

I thought I would still be happy even if the skins did lose this week-end but after visiting Seattle message boards I want this game more than any other game before. I would love to find a Seahawks board with fans that actually talk football and not just about how easy this game is going to be for Seattle, and how the Skins are simply fooling themselves if we think we can win.

Well I guess they're right...especially now that Gibbs is back...wow there are really some sad franchises in the NFL...and considering all the rules that favor parity (unlike baseball for instance) that's just incredible...the Saints (7 winning seasons, 1 playoff victory...), Falcons (never had back to back winning seasons), Lions, Browns, Texans, Cardinals. ( :banghead: )..man..how can you suck so bad for so long when you get high draft picks, easier schedules, same money as all the other teams...at least teams like the Vikings or Bills made the SB numerous times...all these other teams have done NOTHING...

Go here if you want to talk football.

Most of the Forums I go to are really good, but some are pretty tight and won't let you in unless they really believe you'll stick around and not just talk smack for a week and then leave. We might not have as many fans as some teams but we know our football. Most of the time you're probably visiting boards that are angry at Skins fans coming in and talking trash. It's the same here. I came to see what the fans here thought about the game and was shocked at so many saying the Skins were terribly underrated, the seahawks had a weak schedule and therefore the Skins were definitely going to win. I think it goes both ways and fans on both sides are just pissed at each other.

Let me say this:
SEATTLE HAS TO WIN THIS GAME. We can't go 13-3 and lose the first round. This might be the last year a lot of our guys are together. You guys will be tough but there's no way we are walking out of that stadium with a loss. This is the game of pretty much every player on that team's life. You can say we're overrated but we have everything to prove and we know it. 21 years is a long time and we're not going to lose this game. But hey I'm a seahawk fan. What do I know?

Haha, its funny thats the site you listed because thats the site I am referring too some of the people are polite but most are just pricks...Theres no way to talk football with a lot of them...although I have noticed a few that I can talk to, just have to ignore the others I suppose.

I guess I didnt help matters by starting a thread entitled "We want the ball, and we're gonna score"...ha, but if you read the post you will see its all in good fun. But a lot of them didnt see it that way...oh well.

We're not saying you're overrated, you're the #1 seed, everyone should expect you guys to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. All we're saying is to not take us lightly, we're likely to be your toughest opponent in the playoffs. We may not be pretty but we bring it every game. I hope your boys are ready to be physical, 'cause our's will be.
It will be a battle, may the best team win.

stubbornly proud display of the most offensive mascot
Guess they didn't bother to talk to the native americans who petitioned to have that "offensive mascot" replace the "R" on the old helmet design, huh?

mmm Hmmmm......

I fo rone think the Seahawks are the best team in the NFC until someone proves them wrong.

The article is ok, and I like the concept but disagree with how they did it and the rankings.

You don't think as fans that we are happy right now with our most celebrated and loved coach taking us to the playoffs. I think that they pretty much hit it right on the head at this point in time. I even think that we are happier than most teams because we have so many losing seasons in a row, and now our favorite coach is back and taking us. We smell the change in the tide, and we are bouncing off the walls. I know I am.

Hey everyone. Been awhile since I posted. As far as happy, you bet I am. We went 10 - 6 in the regular season and made it into the playoffs. Who wouldn't be happy. Heck, we even made it to the final 8 and with some luck we might get past the Seahawks this weekend. If the guys all come together this weekend then no matter what, it'll be a great game to watch.

But if not, I'm still going to be happy about it all. Were back. We're a contender once again. Next year we might just be wearing Division Champion shirts and hats for the first time in too long. What's not to be happy about?

Misery index, first off this was a stupid thing for them to print in the first place there is no factual data and only someone's opinion here.
Second off, I think that our mascot is the most prestigious of all in american sports. The american indian in an honorable and proud mascot that should be displayed as such. If everyone had to change their mascots to animals we would lose our history.

More prestigious than the great American hero Chief Wahoo? That's just crazy.

From an emotional standpoint, understood.

If there's a team to give us a bump, its Seattle. However, I felt the same before but I also saw the teams, at the time we faced them, for the reasons they had to win and we had to win and the games of the best in the league for most of our schedule over and over. We had a two games, I believe that had little meaning for them, by the time we played them, one a total fluke, because of many people missing. We have some people missing in this one, but we had depth playing duiring these key stretches and that is another factor for games like Saturday. Can you continue without your big names. We had to, often. We are used to it.

But with three Super Bowl championships, the return of Joe Gibbs and their stubbornly proud display of the most offensive mascot in American sports, Washington gets no sympathy here.
First time i've heard the word "offensive" and Redskins during the playoffs...

LOL! That's a good one!

Personally, I think the B&G will go in to DaHaux and show them how we got those 3 previous SB Trophies!

What do DaHaux have?

Got any HOF Coaches?

Note sure if this has been mentioned before, but according to espn today (I think courtesy of the NFL), the Skins had the second-toughest schedule in the league this season. The Seahawks? 32nd.

I wonder if they emailed that to all their NFL experts that come on the show. Oh wait, we are not the flashy team. They only talk about us when we do something wrong like only have 125 yards on offense.
