View Full Version : My Redskins oriented office management fiasco...

Ok, here's what happened to me this morning. I put up my little "Go Redskins" placard from the Monday Night Live show in my office window. You know, hometown spirit kinda thing... (in 82 banners were hanging all over the place btw....). So I come back from a meeting less than an hour after I put it up and the building manager has torn it down, citing policy that no signage can appear in windows.

WELL. Around election time for example, there were signs from both sides all over our "pod" of offices here in Arlington! Curious that my one little sign attracted so much "attention". So I wonder...was a Dallas fan in the building across the square ticked off? Or do I have a grumpy property management company with no team spirit?

Waddya think?

footnote: I taped it to a box and put the box up on the window ledge....:devil2:

Do you work at the Washington Post by any chance?

I would take that up with management, honestly. At least to ask why. If folks can put up divisive political posters, why can't you put up a Redskins poster during the run? I would think that everyone except for 12% or so of Native Americans and 30% of other folks with sticks up their posterior would find it uplifting.

He'll be here all week, folks. Don't forget to tip your waitress. ;)

That is a Dallas or TB fan!

Those are the only two that have to be still stewing about now. We beat the boys twice, knocked them out of the playoffs and most likely forced Parcells to once again shake up the roster again.

Or Iggles or Gints. Whoever they are, they're clearly maladjusted. :)

put it back up and say you won't take it down until they give you the policy in writing that you can't hang signage. It can't be a policy unless it is in writing.

And say, "I'm mad as he*l and I'm not taking it anymore!!"

I seriously doubt the rank-and-file Native Americans would take offense at your sign. It is just a few so called "leaders" trying to make political hay.

I have been walking around the last couple of weeks wearing my Redskins leather jacket and Redskins hard hat. I have had nothing but compliments. One restaurant owner offered me free lunch.

I would check with the owners of your building and tell them that Scrooge is managing their building for them. Threaten to move if they don't keep Bah Hum Bug in line.

Do whatever you want, and always question their integrity.
