This doesn't surprise me at all. It has been a recurring theme in professional sports for years. Solution, open your eyes real wide and make the accurate call on the field. I do feel bad what's happened to him after the call, but the call was disgusting and nearly cost Pittsburgh the game.

A vandal hurled a grapefruit-sized boulder through a plate-glass window in Morelli's Stockton, Calif., home at about 10 p.m. Monday, according to Stockton Police Lt. Thomas Wells. Morelli, who also works as a high school principal, was home with his wife at the time.
This guy is a referee AND a high school principal? Does he have a death wish or something, lol? Seriously though, it's just as likely that one of his students did this just because he is the principal at their school. But I wouldn't know anything about that. ;)
