WTEM AM 980 is reporting that for the second straight day Lavar Arrington was carted off the practice field. This time it was a brutal hit. No word on who was responsible. The station said Arrington should be fine.

It's all that trashtalking he does. Sooner or later a tight end sneaks up on him at the end of a play and...:smash:

He seems to get his bell wrung just about every game. Maybe it's just the agressive way he plays. He always bounces back.

Correct me if I am wrong but I think it was LaVar's rokie season didn't he knock himself out on a kickoff return vs the Eagles?
These guys need to save something for the preseason and regular season games.. geesh
I love this guys motor and drive but someone needs to bring his RPMs down for camp

No correcting--you're right, Jeff. I recall that. Lavar was covering a kickoff and knocked himself out of the game by using his head to bust through a wedge. It cost the team dearly, too. The defense we'd prepared for McNabb was based on using Arrington to spy on the Philly quarterback all the time. Since Lavar wasn't around to do the job, McNabb ran for over 120 yards and singlehandedly won the game. That was at FedEx Field. I almost vomited in disgust.

Yes, it was the opening kickoff of the damned game, I believe. That Eagles debacle and Eddie Murray's botched 40 yd attempt that would have defeated NY the following week spelled the end for the 2000 'all-star' Skins. Bad memories.

Is it just me... or does it look bad for Lavar when he has to be carried of the field twice? He needs to suck up some of those hits. (I say from the confines of my safe little office).

Ahh, there's some hitting going on up there in Ashburn. Can't wait to see it.
C'mon guys, lighten up on each other and save it for the Jets.

I remember two seasons ago it was brought up that Lavar was a hell of a hitter but he needed to calm it down a bit or his career will be short lived.

I remember hearing that as well.
