Guys, I looked at today's post concerning rating the rbs. It seems like the reporter wasn't big on Trung but liked Watson a lot. I just can't seem to shake the feeling that Watson won't make this team for all the reasons people have stated before-Trung was brought in for his speed-Betts was picked by Snyder and Sprurrier (well, maybe Spurrier last year) and Morton was promised some offensive snaps to go along with his special teams play and some think he's actually the fastest back. Now, I know only a fourth-rounder and Loverne were given up for Trung, but I believe it's way too early to give up on him-besides, Snyder likes him, he'll be given a large window of opportunity. As stated earlier, Betts can get the tough yards Davis used to get.
So, even though he has great heart and a great work ethic, I believe Watson is the odd man out. It would be great to keep him on the practice squad, though. Because if something happens to the other three he can step right in and help.

If Watson leaves I would bet money he would get picked up by another team. Possibly the Bengals as Lewis knows him.

I have a strange feeling watso is going to be one of the surprises of the season, and Trung is going to be the odd man out!!!!
As for Watson on the practice squad, not sure if we'd be allowed to do that as he has a full season on the active roster, plus he'd never clear waivers, someone (yeah the Bengals, or someone in our division) will pick him up!

We'll have to see what Trung does, there are a surprisingly large number of people who think that he has no game. I personally think that he'll do great, and ramsey loves throwing him the ball.
Betts is the man too... i think that's the real competition.

All of them are one Bowen hit away from the DL. I say we keep em all. One less TE would be the cost, no?

I just don't understand the negativity being shown to Trung. The guy will make the team.....count on it. If not, I'll take my crow raw....
Tex, no does Watson go to the Bengals....not with Dillon already set there.
Just my thoughts...

He might be a great backup for Dillon

Welcome to the forum Chris. We are glad to have ya here!
As far as Trung, I hear different, I have read from other sources that Trung has looked pretty good, but Watson does as well. Watson's stock is clearly climbing which could be bad news for Betts. Betts better recover that elbow real soon.

If Watson is released (Which I really am opposed to), don't be surprised if he goes to the Bucs. He would do as good or better than Pittman without the problems and Thomas Jones still doesn't pack any punch in my book.
I gotta ride with Watson. The guy kept us in some games last season when Davis was down.

Cam: You eluded to something I brought up a few days ago. Why don't we just get rid of a TE? That or even a FB. Couldn't a FB sub for a TE on some plays and/or vise-versa? I say keep 4 RB's and 6 WR. JMO.

Right on man. Plus half, if not 3/4s of the RB corp will be on numerous special teams units. We'll use all these guys and six WRs

My guess is.... the Skins will keep a full complement of rbs and fbs going into the season, unless one of them really bombs in preseason.

I am sure he would beat out all of the backs they have no too.
It's good to know that we have talent in our backfield. Hey what happened to Gillipse (sorry about the spelling)?
