I have one. I basically got my psp because I wanted an IPOD and they were about the same price plus the PSP you can play games, get on the internet, and watch movies. The PSP though will cost you alittle more because you have to buy a larger memory card to fit more songs on it. The Ipod was looking at was 300 dollars and my psp + memory card was 320 so basically the same price. Its alittle more bulkier then a ipod.

I would recommend one if you travel alot, enjoy handhelds, or you are a college student like me. I find myself using this thing alot in the library listening to mp3s and occasionally playing games on it if I am bored of studying. Plus they are fun during those boring lectures.

As far as a review goes:

Games: Not sure what type of games you are into but the graphics look good on it. The selection of games on it are kind of limited. I know alot of people enjoy Lumines which is a strategy/puzzle type of game. The games I have I am really happy with. I have Madden, GTA, and Midnight Club. I hear Socom is also another good buy for it.

Movies: Crystal Clear, I was really surprised how good movies looked on this. Also they have a very wide selection of good moves.

Internet: The browser is alittle tough to look at but it serves its purpose. Very useful for checking email on the go if you are near WiFi.

Music: Sounds as good as any Mp3 I have had.

If you have any more question feel free to ask. Not sure exactly what you are looking for in your PSP but if you enjoy gaming and listening to music on the go then I highly recommend it.

thanks for the input sonoma. i already have an ipod, so i probably wouldnt be storing a ton of songs on it. i travel enough where it would be useful and i'll be going back to school later this year so im sure it would come in handy. the only issues i have with it is that the accessories are so expensive and the games and movies are about the same price as actual games and movies. if i was to get an games, id probably start out with madden of course and probably ssx or something fun that i wouldnt get bored of easily.

Yea the accessories are expensive. The only accessory I bought was a bigger memory card. The prices are very simliar for the psp games and movies as they would be on dvd and ps2.

I really enjoy mine, I felt it was worth the money. I love the thing when I get bored in the library I can jump on for a game of Madden. I would recommend it if you have the funds and I have found the thing very useful for college.

I have one as well and I love it. I don't watch a lot of movies on it but I love the game aspect of it. I play my Tiger Woods and Socom on it. I also have a couple of other games too.

It is really dependant on you how much memory you want. I think the largest memory stick is 4 gigs

enough!

the 1GB memory stick is like $110. the other ones with less memory will set you back $45 and $70 bucks.

I know most Sony cameras use the same memory card, not sure about other cameras. Actually what I did which makes alot of sense, I bought my memory from a camera shop. I saved about 20 bucks from what Best Buy was trying to charge for the official Sony memory stick for the PSP.

i finally broke down and ordered a brand new one off of ebay. i got it for $192 plus $15 for shipping ($207 total). it came in the mail yesterday and im really impressed with it. i ordered a few movies and im waiting for madden 06 to come in the mail, so right now i dont have anything to play but the sample disc that comes with it. the graphics are crisp and the videos and photos are crystal clear. im watching and bidding on nba live and need for speed but i cant wait until i get something to watch and play.
