Why would one of the "Hogs" give it up????

Yea, kinda sorta. You find out AFTER you buy it. You get 20 football cards of him (2 signed).

Who knows? Maybe another Redskin will buy it.

Actually not a bad idea but by Redskin, I would suggest the Redskins OWNER.
Dan Synder should buy it - put in holding until it rightful owner can repay him. OR even put in on display at FedEx.

Is it all three or just the one ring?

Good idea Patrick. Probably the right thing to do. Though what a great piece to own.

Too bad, that's just slightly over my budget. If any of you do have some extra money, I think this would be a great birthday gift for me....Just throwing it out there.

i'm about 87,000 short so i'm gonna start collecting, any donations are welcome.

p.s. anyone who donates to the cause gets a free 15 min window with the ring

Wow thats pretty awesome. Obviously a redskin wanted to make some dough. It will be interesting to hear who it was.

That ring is blinged out. Anybody know who from the Hogs made it to the pro bowl in 87. Jacoby and Grimm come to mind, but I don't know why either one of them would sell the ring.

we should email dan and tell him to do that

it didn't say when the guy made the pro bowl, it just said he did.

Also the name of the player will only be given to the winner of the auction, so we won't find out.

Wouldn't it be nice for HR's family to buy this ring. You know, a donation from everyone here, and of course have to fundraise. That would certainly put us on the MAP. And what a great jester to give it back to the player as well!!!

Darn, it's too bad I bought that new Porsche the other day, I'm a little short now.

It makes me kinda sad that someone is selling this, who would want to give it up? It was interesting to read the background on the ring though. I wish the Redskins organization would buy it back.

That is really cool. I wonder who's it was. Some guys sell theirs when they go broke.

Maybe Russ Grimm sold his to make room for his new steelers ring.

The dry weather here in SoCal has dried up the ol' Money Tree, so I'm going to have to pass. Looks mighty purdy, though!

WOW!! That makes me sad too. I wonder if its Jay Shroeder. He made the Probowl in '86 didn't he?

I remember reading somewhere that Timmy Smith hocked his ring to a pawn shop for a couple grand.

Now you have a VERY RARE Opertunity to own a Very Special Ring. This is the One and Only 1987 Washington Redskins Super Bowl World Championship Players 10K Diamond Ring. It doesn’t get much nicer than an Original Super Bowl Ring from one of the “Hogs”.

I have my doubts about this one

Sounds like a Hog is having some financial troubles.

There is a Green Bay player that I cannot remember his name that comes here to Ocean Isle in the summer for vacation and he always wears his super bowl ring. It is huge, I wish I could remember his name though.
