tomorrow to FAN APPRECIATION DAY at training camp? and can someone fill me in the details, i was lookin at redskins.com bout whats going on that day, i know it starts at 12:30...but what time should i really go to get autographs? i know it starts at 9(practices) but i also want auto's :)

On fan appreciation day autographs are hard to get...most players tell you to wait until the session(after practice) and get in their line...but you have to get in line quick because the top guys will leave after they sign so many...atleast that is how it went last year...Redskin.com is ridiculous...it says more info coming, but the day is TOMORROW...

i am hopefully going. Hurt my back pretty bad in the gym on Thursday so alot is up in the air right now, but i am planning to. Guess we are all going to meet over by the band. I should be there between 9 and 10 AM. Maybe we should have more oncrete plans on where and hwo to meet. I'll let ya all know if by tonite if i can be there.

Hey guys and gals, the band is scheduled to get there at 2pm weather permitting. I believe we play at 3pm for 15 minutes and then again at 3:45 for 15 minutes. I believe an autograph session is scheduled but can't remember the time. If you plan to get one, get in line early like bfauble suggested. Supposedly if it is raining real bad, FAD will be cancelled and not rescheduled. We were initially told that Sunday was the rain date. But on Wednesday we were told that if it is cancelled, there is no rain date.

I plan on going if it isn't raining bad and I plan on being there for the first practice (9am). I'll likely be wearing a Ramsey throwback with matching baseball cap and black shorts.

How do I get to Redskin Park?
FROM BALTIMORE:
Take 95 South towards Washington, D.C.
Take 495 West to 267 West (Dulles Toll Road Exit)-The entrance toll is 50 cents
Follow 267 West for 13 miles to the Dulles Greenway-The entrance toll is $2.25
Continue approximately 2 miles to Exit 7 (Loudoun County Parkway/Route 607)
Turn right, headed north, on Loudoun County Parkway
Proceed approximately 2 miles and cross over Waxpool Road
Go approximately 1.2 miles more until the two lanes merge into one. Look for Redskins parking staff to find parking at Redskin Park.

I went to Mapquest and found 3 different possible routes...I think I'm going to go by way of Harpers Ferry RD to CHarles Town Pike to VA 7...even though going down 70 to 15 might be quicker...

Here is probably the way you would want to go...

Get on I-70 towards Frederick
Take Exit 52A 340/15 toward Charles Town
Merge onto 15 towards Leesburg(if you don't know its an exit that is on the LEFT side of the road, you have to be in the left lane to take that exit
Turn slight left onto Leesburg Byp/US 15 Byp S
Merge onto VA 7E
turn right onto VA 607/Loudon COunty PKWY
turn left onto REDSKIN PARK DR

That is what I got...but this is the way I will probably go...

Turn RIGHT onto Harpers Ferry Rd
Left onto CHarles Town Pike/VA-9\
merge onto VA-7 E (ramp on left)
turn right onto va-607/loudon county pkwy
turn left onto redskin park dr

I had a bad day...I got lost, had to go an hour out of the way to find it...got there missed morning practice(i left early enough that I should have got there in time for it) bought a mini helmet to get signed...it was hot nowhere to sit and absolutely NOTHING going on...I left after 1.5 or 2 hours...didn't feel like waiting 4 hours to see practice...I also drove over some potholes full of water and got my truck muddy (the window was down)...it all started when a black cat crossed me on the way down there...just a bad day for me...

Yeah it was rough. I was there from 9am til 5pm. FAD was supposed to start at 12:30 but it didn't. There was absolutely nothing going on between practices but I had to stay to play for FAD. The cheerleaders did come up and sign autographs at one time.
