well they had good luck with Mike Sellers, might as well take a chance on another standout from Canada.

I will bet that not a single one of these guys is on the roster in September.

BTW, Sellers was in the NFL before he played in the CFL. He got busted for drugs and got cut, then went to Canada for a couple years.

he started out up there too when he was like 18 or something, before he went to Wala Wala. then the Redskins cut him, then he followed Robiske to Cleveland and got into his drug trouble and got cut and went back to Canada. he has had a long road back into the NFL, i hope he can keep his head straight now.

I noticed they brought back Jonathan Combs too, that running back that Darrell Green recommended to the team.

It should have been obvious that drug problems were to come from anybody that follows Robiskie anywhere.

They are all camp fodder or hitting dummies in the practice squad.

Casey Bramlet is interesting to me I think he could be being developed to be our third QB in a year or so after doing practice squad duty. Maybe Campbells career backup who knows. The kicker you're talking about sounds interesting.

To answer the question "Who are these guys?" can be done so in three words:

Training. Camp. Fodder.

Aric Williams was/is a pretty good CB in the past, if its the same guy I'm thinking about.

I think some of these guys were either in camp last year or were on the PS during the season.

many here might have said the same about some guys like Pierce, Marshall, Clark and some others though. at least these guys are ready to start learning the systems now rather than later.

He is interesting to me too. He was on the Bengals roster buried somewhere behind Carson Palmer, Jon Kitna, etc. When i was reading his player bio from that link i posted, i was reminded of Trent Green.

So it wasn't like they came from obsurity and started playing. I'm not saying that there isn't a chance, it's just not that big of one.

We're searching for diamonds in the rough.
Some of these guys may be for future reference and they'll probably end up as practice fodder.

i was looking for some insight into these guys, like if anyone knew anything about any of them or had seen them play, etc.

that site has Jesse Lumsden listed at 6'-2, 222, with 4.46 speed. he sounds pretty interesting with that size and speed, and having been a standout in Canada.

i see him listed at 6'-0, 238, 4.52 speed. he might be okay but not getting too many chances with the year Alexander had.

Sellers was not in the NFL before the CFL, he was the youngest player ever to play pro football because he played in the CFL at age 18. then he went to Wala Wala, then the NFL, then drugs, then back to the CFL, then back to the NFL.

While that may be true of college Free Agents, I don't think it is true of a group of guys who are signed after the season and before the draft.

I thought this thread was about new guys to TheWarpath.net forum!

j/k!

It is way too early to tell about FA signees. Only mini-camps, TC, and Pre-Season will tell all. Some, like Pierce, work out. But I think he was signed after the Draft, as was Boschetti.

First the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Then, Regular FA.
Then the Combines.
Then the NFL Draft.
Then TC.

It is a long, long off-season.
