Did any of you catch the Jets/Bucs game this morning. I missed it but plan to watch the tape delay at 8:00 tonight on espn.

Football is back.

Surprisingly, ESPN is now showing the score and a description on it's website. I thought that they would not do this until the game was shown tonight.

I only watched while the starters were playing. Might go back in the second half to see some of Simms.

Pennington looked good. Threw a nice deep ball to Conway, who had two difficult-looking catches in that first drive. LaMont Jordon got nowhere fast, but I suppose we have to take into account the fact that he was trying to run against the Bucs. I'm beginning to think the Jets will miss Coles a bit less than I thought, until Conway gets injured anyway.

The Bucs' offense looked like, well, the Bucs' offense. Got lucky a few times, moved a few dozen yards before kicking a field goal.

Not to take anything away from Coles, but Chrebet, Moss and Conway should be able to do pretty well. I don't know if any of those guys are stars (maybe moss) but they are three solid WR's... on top of that, Pennington will probably make them look even better.

Yeah... the Bucs plodded along... but that TD catch that they called back WAS a catch.

I wasn't impressed with Lamonte Jordan at all... and the Oline looked weak... but perhaps it is because of the Bucs...

Just watched some of the second half. Simms was very impressive. I didn't know he was that mobile. Of course, he was playing against the same people that made Matthews and Woeful look good, but still.... Made his stock rise, in my opinion anyway.

Pennington did good but they did not have alot of their starters in there....Sapp played 1 series,Brooks did not go to the game,Barber was not suited up. I think even Lynch did not play.

some of our players need to enroll in/take " TACKLING 101 ".
YES, I KNOW IT'S JUST A PRE-SEASON GAME, ETC.
but, gheeeez :banghead:

curtis conway/wr , looked pretty good. ( yes, i know, he'll get hurt/injured sometime this season. & yes, i would rather have l.coles/wr than conway ).

p.s. what do you guys/gals think about the job/performance that the ESPN announcers did covering this game ?

cheers ~ ~ ~

Unfortunately I missed the game. I was hoping to see some highlights from the game but ESPN isn't showing any.
