Sounds like Ms. Walters needs another dose of the right hook to me. It floors me how Iggle fans can act like complete idiots and then have the audacity to sue after they started the trouble.

Frankly my view has always been that if you start trouble just take your lumps and go sit down. :D

I remeber her incident with the Eagles fans, but had no idea she knocked someone out! I thought she had been the victim. If it's true, than she should pay.

I agree, but am just not buying that Walters is innocent in all this. I mean c'mon, we aren't talking about Antonio Davis' wife here. Portis' mom has no history of violence/trouble-making of which I am aware. I can tell you first hand there are plenty of people I wanted to pop in the nose, but thankfully I am a master of restraint.

This was almost a case of Ron Artest, except both participants were fans......and one actually being a parent of one of the players. But if some eagles fan threw a bear at me, I don't think I would have the restraint to hold back. I hate to condone violence, but I would have probaly done the same thing.

And to do this in Lincoln Financial, were distrout Eagle fans are infamous for being voilent to the visiting team fans (especially division rivals), I think its awsome that Portis's moms busted some eagles fan in the chops.

I can't say I'm surprised by this at all, in our current American society everybody is sueing everybody and when I heard Ms. Hearns clocked somebody in the face, I suspected it was only a matter of time until the "victim" would sue, especially with the defendant being the mother of a high profile player. All I can say is I hope Ms. Hearns knocks her out again during the trail.

Wasn't her husband or brother with her as well? I remember there being someone on the sidelines with her. Good lord Philly, cry me a river. Maybe she should have thrown batteries or snowballs at her, because apparently that's what they expect there. I'm sure Clinton will pay for the best lawyer money can buy, but even if she's found guilty, that punch was TOTALLY worth $75,000. We need to put her in the stands in Dallas. :D

I think they should counter sue the woman and drive her legal expenses so high this frivolous lawsuit would not be worth it.

If Mrs. Portis was at fault she would have been escorted out of the stadium, not down to the field.

Eagles fans are the worst. I got in a throw down at the game this year with an Eagles fan, and I can honestly say that it was one of the few fights I have been in where I did nothing to instigate it, and didn't really have time to walk away.

By being the first aggessor and his mom NOT being the one to instigate the matter, the judge will say the person brought that on theirself. The judge may demand a public apology, anger management, etc., but monetary damages should be denied, since both are guilty of aggressive asault and NOT self defense. In other words, no one made either have to revert to actually behaving the way they did, nothing should ahave been thrown at Portis' mom and his mom did NOT have to hit her.

Now if the woman continued to assault her continuosly without fail and only self defense (by Portis mom), behavior, would make the woman stop, then Portis mom is justified, since NO security were there nor did the woman's friends, family, acquantinces make her stop.

Suing is the lowest form of retaliation at this point and clearly shows the trashy mentality of the woman who threw debri on Portis' mom. That woman is a lowest form of loser that crawls the earth. Doesn't she know the same lawsuit could have been placed against her as well. What an idiot!

Thanks Portis' mom for not stooping to the bird crap fan's level.

These were my exact thoughts when I first came upon this thread. Actually my second. My initial thought was visualizing the trailer trash scumbag "victim" with dollar signs in her eyes.

Edit: Unfortunately she will probably get free legal support due to the publicity surrounding the case.
