CBC Sports reports former NFL DE Ron Warner has once again decided to play in the CFL, after a six-year absence. He has signed a contract with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Most recently, he played for the Washington Redskins in 2004.

Tim Whitmire, of the Associated Press, reports the campaign of Democratic congressional hopeful and former NFL QB Heath Shuler has filed a financial disclosure statement, more than six months late. Campaign spokesman Andrew Whalen said the campaign has paid a $200 fine for filing the paperwork late and noted that the campaign changed managers at the start of the year.

He was a Redskin, a bad one.

He had good speed, in the 4.45/40 range but I don't know if he still has it. I think durability is his biggest question and as we all know here, his anticipation and angles are questionable, at best.

Greg A. Bedard, of the Palm Beach Post, reports the St. Louis Rams have reached a tentative agreement to sign free agent QB Gus Frerotte (Dolphins), according to a league source. The agreement is expected to become official Friday, March 17. Terms of the contract were not known.
