There are some positional battles with very good competition this year that is starting to get me concerned about how many lineman we will keep this year.
1. 4 good running backs. From what I have heard, Trung, Chad and Kenny have not dissapointed in camp. Ladell, who has not played much due to a bad elbow, has dropped to 4th in the competition. BUT, he is a second round pick with considerable cap implications for a team that does not have much wiggle room, so it is hard to see him getting cut. Do they keep all 4?
2. It is looking like we will keep 6 wideouts, but this could change. I have not seen much reporting on Darnerian, meaning he is quiet this camp or is being overshadowed.
3. Wesley Walls has me concerned. They just re-upped with Zeron prior to the end of last year, and Robert Royal looks promising, so are they going to keep 3 TE's if Walls signs?
So, if we assume that the startes, from L to R, are Samuels, Fiore, Moore, Thomas and Jansen, with Albright the long snapper and Dockery the top reserve, that's 7 O lineman at the start. I don't think most teams keep more that 8 or 9 lineman, do they? So someone from the the group of T. Johnson, Friedman, Brown and Rod Jones (my favorite) may not be around at the start of the season.
