Not as bad as beating a ref to death, but it is a very, very close second.

it resulted in a death, so i don't see it as being different at all.

That is messed up. And he only gets an 8-year sentence. Seems to me the punishment should have been much harsher.

Definately, Anyone who drugs children should be behind bars for a long time. How could you do that? His brain must be messed up, but he did apologize, so what was going through his mind at the time?

im sorry, but that is no excuse. i mean like, the thought of drugging someone's child is sick enough(dont waste drugs on infants, i mean COME ON NOW, im right here....but anyways), but actually going through and doing it? the punishment(8 years, which he likely wont do all of) is nowhere near harsh enough.

What I meant by that was he wasn't insane. I know that's no excuse, but it proves he's not insane. Usually, when you're insane you don't apologize for doing what you did. You have no feelings toward it.
