I'll be there tomorrow night. My wife just surprised me with tickets for the whole family. It'll be the first NBA game for my two boys and I'm looking forward to it.

I only wish Gilbert hadn't said anything about wanting to face Detroit in the first round of the Playoffs. I'm hoping for a good game at least...

congrats, i know its gonna be a fun game to go to. have u been listening to gil the last couple of days? he is saying anything he wants. Politically correct is not even in his vocab. I love it, he wants to be the underdog in almost everything. i hope we win this game cuz we need to get out of the slump

Thanks YS...Coach Saunders said Gil was upset at his lack of playing time in the All Star game. I guess he had less time than any of the others on the East roster. I love the way Gil speaks his mind, too.

Being here in Detroit and watching Rip, Ben and Rasheed I can only wonder what might have been if they were still in DC. You just never know. I have all the respect in the world for Joe Dumars...but, I'll be pulling for the Wiz tomorrow!

Be on the lookout for some Skins at the game. I saw a rumor on another board that we're going to be wining and dining guys at the game tomorrow. Andre Carter, Archuleta, and Randle El were the guys they said would be at the game tomorrow.

Yeah. I moved here last month due to a job transfer. I read the Detroit Free Press every morning. Here is the article I was talking about:

Pistons
PISTONS CORNER: Wizards' Arenas: Bring on Pistons

March 10, 2006

Email this Print this BY KRISTA LATHAM

FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER
Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas joined the Jermaine O'Neal club Thursday, telling ESPN that he'd like to see the 49-11 Pistons in the first round of the playoffs.

The Pacers' O'Neal made his proclamation last month.

Arenas' desires, however, are based on something a little more personal -- revenge for lack of playing time.

"Yeah, because we only played him nine minutes" in the All-Star game, coach Flip Saunders said with a smile after Thursday's Pistons practice, repeating what he had heard Arenas say.

Saunders mentioned he played Pistons guard Rip Hamilton just over 13 minutes in the Feb. 19 game. "Maybe Rip doesn't want to play for me anymore, I don't know."

Arenas played 9:51 in the All-Star game, less than any other player.

He scored one point and missed all four of his shot attempts.

Saunders shrugged Thursday and said he did his best to give everyone a fair number of minutes and still leave Houston victorious. The Eastern Conference won, 122-120.

"We were all guards," Saunders said. "And it makes it tough to get all those guys a lot of minutes. That's always the toughest thing."

Other than Arenas, whom the Pistons will see Saturday when they travel to Washington to play the Wizards, the East had guards Hamilton, Chauncey Billups, Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson on the roster, as well as LeBron James, Paul Pierce and Vince Carter, forwards who can also slip into a guard role.

"I guess, what can you do if you hold grudges for that?" Saunders said.

have fun at the game pete and look out for those potential redskins at the game....

i think its the lack of minutes in the all star game AND the fact that gil wants more attention. im not saying is going about it in a childish way, but he needs some kind of attention to get the recognition he is looking for. i just hope that he doesnt say or do anything that will make him receive any negative attention.

That's probably the only way anyone is ever gonna notice him. I mean, how do you play LeBron 30+ minutes in the All-Star game and play Gil only 9. LeBron didn't even pass at all in the game. The only thing he wanted to get out of that game was to win MVP.

I'll be able to watch this game tonight cuz its gonna be on WB.

13 point lead down to 6... Antawn threw one down earlier on the break. That is the second or third time I've ever seen him dunk

wow, 92-76 at the end of the 3rd. this has been like the 3rd or 4th time in a row that the wiz have scored like 90+ points by the 3rd qtr. lets exercize some demons rite now, and close out this game. this game looks a lot like the memphis, indiana, miami, and boston game. we need to go for the kill now. wow, gibbsrules is at a great game now

haha yeah i know... he shoulda done something after that though...... i bet anyone $50 that they won't show that on sportscenter tomorrow

We're shooting better from three point range than from the free throw line. How do we have 101 points with 8 mins left in the game against the Pistons.

great win by the wizards. this was probably the best win of the season, next to the spurs game. im glad arenas had a big game, but still gave opportunities for other teammates. i dont know what his #s are, but he made a lot of nice assists tonite. great game. antonio daniels is making me look stupid. ive been bashing him silly, but im fine if he proves me wrong. the past couple games he has had better shot selection and has been making plays. this win feels real good

Yeah he did a great job tonight. He had 34 points and 6 assists. Yeah I understand why you might not like Daniels, but I don't get why you hate him so much. Whenever I see him, he plays pretty decently.

We can beat the Pistons twice, but we can't figure out those Bobcats. I just don't get it. Good win though.

Seriously, and it's twice as sweet knowing that Phil Jackson and Kobe were the ones who got hosed. (Actually, I kind of like Phil and his mysticism)
