Ladell Betts will not play Saturday, and kenny Watson will most likely be limited. We will probably see alot of Trung, Morton, McCulloyugh, and Gillespie.

Man, Betts has to be has to be hurting himself by not being in there. Must be one bad elbow sprain.

Well..We already know what Betts and Watson can do for us, so I'm excited to see what Trung, Morton and Sultan can do...

I'm pumped to finally see Morton in action. From the TC reports, he has simply awed the crowds with his running capabilities. I'd LOVE to see him become our full-time 3rd down back!

I doubt Trung plays more than a quarter and the rest is given to the other guys

I'm looking forward to seeing all of our RBs. Betts is bugging me, though. The Post keeps reporting that he could play "in one or two days," and it always gets pushed back. Now he won't even be there on Saturday? Good Lord.

I watched Betts run the bag drills during TC yesterday... he was hitting them pretty hard with both hands individually... I wonder what is ailing him besides his elbow?

I shouldn't have opened my mouth proclaiming him to be the starter. Ladell, I've jinxed you! If Watson gets back first and plays ridiculously well, Betts could be out. I doubt it, but its possible now.

Right now, I think Betts is the odd man out. I heard Spurrier state the other day on ComCast that he doesn't see how a football player falls on his elbow and miss the first week of practice. Seemed like he's getting impatient with Betts.

I did a search of the Redskinsoster last year, and low and behold the first two results I got had 4 RBs and 6WRs on the squad. I gotta believe if Spurrier can find room for Riedel Anthony and Robert Gillespe, he can find room for Any of our RBs and WRs.

Im not sure... I tend to agree that Betts is falling behind rather quickly. Problem is we need him for those 3rd and 1's.

I was pumped about Betts this year too. I thought he would be much improved after spending an entire year in our conditioning program and being further versed in the offense. Plus he is a better receiver than Davis, one reason they let him go.

Ladell may be our most complete back. If he can't get in their soon, they will have a hard time justifying him on the roster.

I can't wait to see TC and JM catching passes out of the backfield.

Also, about the 3 & 1 situations.....don't be surprised to see Spurrier thowing a lot more of those situations. Or, atleast acting like he is. Spread the field and then run a draw. Or even screens...

It's early. We haven't played a single preseason game yet. I think it very unlikely Betts will be cut unless he spends the rest of August in the trainer's room. He is digging himself a hole on the roster, though. Unless he wants to spend 14 weeks of the season on the inactive list, he better heal quickly.
