Sweet!
I can still give the play-by-play of the party I was at during "The Quarter".
Unfortunately, I don't remember much of the second half, it was quite a game and party! I do remember being on M Street in G-Town that night in the biggest crowd I have ever been a part of.

I remember that. I told my grandfather at the end of the 1st quarter that the Redskins would score 4 touchdowns before halftime and he laughed. I was 6.
I wasn't entirely correct. My grandfather still thought I was prophetic, though.

I didn't understand what was happening at the time but I still remember the cheers from my parents and their friends.
I took it upon myself last year to get ahold of a copy of the game on DVD and watch it in its entirety for myself now that I'm older.
I get it now.
Good stuff.

In the barracks at the old Fort Devens, Massachusetts, Army buddies were for Denver, and walked out after the first two drives by Denver produced 10 points and us 0. I stayed there'a watchin' believing in the team, saw Doug go down and then come back with a flury of points!!!!!
won the bets with all of them and they looked liked they had seen a ghost when they got back from the PX! They thought it was a network error on the screen and I died laughing the whole game.
Thanks for bringing back what its all for and just WHO runs the Redskins NOW, not the late 1990's or 2000-2003!
Incidentally the kicker was a steal from the Giants! Ali Haji-Sheikh was the man!

I was at a party with my friends and remember it well. The media didn't respect Gibbs anymore at that time.
Well coached and well played game!

hahaha - Ali Haji-Shiekh was a clown - wasn't it him that missed four extra-points in a 44-38 win over the Vikings...?

Apologies, my mistake - I'm thinking of Max Zendejas and three missed PATS...

As can be told by my avatar I agree. That was the most dominant I have ever seen a team. And it was the Skins in the Superbowl......I'll never forget the party we were having at that time....
