On the Tony K. show a golf anyalist who loves the skins said let me see if I can get this straight.... You cut Banks to sign Danny W. because you are not happy with Rob Johnson now that makes alot of sense! He also said we already falling apart and its only August!:banghead:

Interesting......but after all, he is a golf analyst.

OK, so what should we do...go with 2 unproven rookies (Banks of which wasn't even drafted) or go with someone who knows our offense and at least has some NFL experience. I mean we are talking about a 3rd string QB. If you ask me I will go with the experience and knowledge of our system!

But you are right Carmike, he is only a golf analyst...I think someone needs to tell him to concentrate on Tiger Woods and his problems with his golf clubs instead of making harsh statements that we are already falling apart!

Oh I know I am not throwing in the towel either. He is a golf anslyst but he said he was a loyal fan. I just thought it was funny how he put it. It was nice meeting you at FAD. Meeting you guys was the only thing that made FAD worth attending. Bring on the season!

Banks was seen as too small by MOST NFL scouts... doesnt mean he cant play... just some red flags. Gamden has a strong arm (perfect fit for Spurrier) for when he learns and matures. I think we will attempt to get him to our practice squad so that we can keep him.

i just read an article that said the only reason Danny Woeful was brought back was to continue to tutor Ramsey and Johnson on the intricasies of the Fun and Gun.

I recall last year a lot of people said Danny would be a great Qb coach, so if he makes it as the 3rd Qb isn't that almost the same thing. He could help Ramsey alot I believe

It would have been smarter to simply add Danny W to the QB coaching staff....but I don't mind him being a sideline mentor with or w/out a jersey on during gameday. (As long as we rarely see him on the field!)

I know that this sounds really scary, but I was at training camp yesterday, and from my vantage point, Wuerffel looked MUCH better than Ramsey or Johnson (IMO)......and I am NOT a Wuerffel fan. Good thing it was just one day. Hope that's not a sign of things to come.
