Tyson Walter has been signed according to KFFL. I don't know much about this guy, but that Houston line wasn't real hot...anyone know anything about this guy?

i did just find that he was drafted by the cowboys back in 2002 and he's only started 9 games in his career.

It's already being discussed in the thread about Pucillo. :)

Played college ball at Ohio State. Drafted by the Cowboys in the 6th round in '02, started 8 games that year. Only started one other game in '04. Was on the Texans last year but wasn't active for any games.

This was discussed in another thread, but once again I welcome the depth to our O-line!

How did they find a guy who didn't even play last season? Also, he played on one of the worst OL in the NFL with the Texans.

Someone must see something in this guy that no one else figured out. I can't wait to see how he does in training camp!

Gibbs and Bugel have a history of that. Maybe they can strike gold again. Heck, even bronze would be nice, someone to spell our interior players from time to time.

Know all the skinz need is OLB, 3CB, and another saftey for depth. :flower1:

OK so maybe Molinaro has matured enough to fill in at OT but do we really have a quality OG if Thomas or Dock goes down.......I really don't see a Ray Brown type player on our debth chart. I think we need 1 high quality backup

The skinz have Alston and Nedukwe who are very physical and 300+ pounds. They have the two guys they signed today, and the Molinero who is not all that bad. What you have to remember is that they are not going to be starting and anything is better then Raymer.

i don't know that you'll find that in FA at this point. maybe we'll look at taking the best available interior lineman with our second rounder or maybe someone will get cut at June 1. i don't see many people getting the axe that late, though, thanks to the cap increase.

This guy didn't start on the worst O-Line in the NFL. My expectations aren't that high, but I hope Buges can prove me wrong.

sounds like his biggest issues are technique. at 6-5, 300, he's got the size to be a solid player if he can get his technique under control

It seems he has had some issues in the past, when he was in college. I don't know the result of this, its just what I found on a google search.

Doesn't exactly sound like the toughest of linemen.

Nice job, rich.

Sounds like he was a stud in college and has been bit by the injury bug in the pros. I'll reserve judgement.

Gibbs has an unbelievable history of that. That's why I like these moves. They definately see something in these guys that Bostic, Grimm, Jacoby, etc. had. These guys will play a big backup role to the Dirtbags.

More like a slugfest among these two today and most likely a few more after the Non-draftee signings. We can only hope to get another FA, like Goodwin or equal to insure we defiinitely have experience.

Any word yet on Dockery????

Well if that's true, that's enough to make me like him already :D

Glad to see us adding some depth, I guess we'll see how things pan out in training camp.

I'll wait and see how this one pans out.....anyone from the texans line is an automatic red flagg...but luckily he only has one game so le may get off the hook....

Several red flags about this Walters guy.

1) Couldn't even get activated for a Texan team that had arguably the worst OLine in the League last season.

2) Makes offensive jokes in the lockerroom to anger a teammate.

3) He is "not one of the boys".

4) Sues a teammate.

Not sure how smart this signing is. Is Walters' minimal talent worth the bother?

i'm skeptical of anyone we get from a Casserly squad, because personally i think Casserly is an idiot.

Cannon Fodder!I think so too. We are going to just be looking for backups not starters, so they will have a competition IMO.

If any of that happens here, he will be gone. It is that simple. Gibbs and Buges are taking this guy to work with him as a backup. He is not intended to start. He will be gone if one of the last 3 occurs.

it looks like the other OL they just signed got a 4 year contract. says something about him. do you know how long this fellows deal was for?

i agree that if he shows the slightest inclination to disruption he willbe gone before he unpacks. that said, he should love playing against the cowboys...
