Ever is tough to say. Let's take a look-

DC:
Champ & Smoot- Not going to waste time talking about Champ. Smoot seems motivated and healthy. If he does put it all together maybe he will get the pinapples he years for so dearly.

*unfortunately for Smoot, there are a ton of corners that are going to fight him for the Pro Bowl

Dallas:
Newman and Ross- Newman reminds me so much of champ it's disgusting. Whether he has the mental strength to be that good, we'll see. I think he'll be very good, very soon. Ross is a very solid OSU product. Very young tandem.

New York:
Allen and Peterson- These kids are just sick. I think that Allen will find his way into the Pro Bowl this year. Young and solid, these guys are just getting better by the day. A usually solid D line doesn't hurt them either.

Philly:
Vincent and Taylor- The vets of the bunch. Established and peaking at the right time. Are either one of them on the decline yet? (hope so) Still, Lito Sheppard is waiting in wings, which is probably one of those two are gone after the year.

We have some ballhawks in our division. Scary, but it's good for respect for our division.

I do think they are the best overall in a division. Not only this year but for a long time.

A big factor is the reallignment. Only 4 teams avoids the big drop that was their with the Cards.

They probably aren't the best right now, (since Newman hasn't played and they are all young) but i think the potential is there, and this year they'll start to prove it.

Dallas's CBs are pretty green. But in a year or two, absolutely.

Probably best division in the NFL, on Philly, us & NY alone though.

Newman and Bailey are the same age and Bailey is in his 5th year

There are some good safeties in the div as well such as dawkins R. williams... etc.

This is probably the best defensive division in the NFL.

Yeah, and if our safeties pan out like we hope (especially Bowen), we could be the best overall secondary division in the league.

Speaking of the safeties, I am excited to see how Bowens matches up on Shockey of the Gints. Or do you think the Free safety, whoever that winds up being, will be on him? I suppose they could change, as I hear that the safeties under the Edwards scheme will have very similar repsonsibilities, almost interchangeable.

I thought I had read, Newman is running with the 3rd string in Dallas?

Some good points, but anytime I here best ever I kinda snicker. I'd say that around the 1999 NFC East would have superior guys than now. D Green and Champ playing well as a rookie. Aeneas Williams in the desert, Mr. Annoying #21 in Dallas, Vincent and I believe Taylor was around by then, Sehorn had his only decent year around that time for NYG although this doesn't really help out too much.

As for the guys now, call me crazy, but I must be the only one that hasn't seen this major blossoming of the Wills in NY. Also, I've always thought that Troy Vincent is overrated and gets alot of Pro Bowl votes because he's pretty high up in the NFLPA. Ross is decent at best in Dallas and Newman is assumed to be great prior to playing like so many other high picks.
