Me too. Sometimes I think they're just making it up as they go.
The bit about Sean's case was interesting. A dismissal would be awesome if it went through.

i don't think there's going to be a dismissal... and honestly i don't know if the case looks very good for taylor right now.
the only reasons i can think of why this guy is still prosecuting him:
1. he wants money
2. it really happened and it was extremely traumatizing (like... thought he was going to die kind of traumatizing) for him.

I wonder if anyone at Redskin Park said we were going LB?
Dang! Why is the time between FA and the draft so long!

Wow, they are considering Holdman ... ouch!

I like bringing Evans back. We would have enough depth on the D-Line to probably keep everybody rested and healthy all year

Several league sources said they expect the team to seek an outside linebacker with its first pick in April's draft (second round). . .
i find that kind of hard to believe, but who knows.

In a Q&A awhile back with Warpath Insiders (sorry subscription only) Dale Lindsay did say that he was considering bringing back Warrick Holdman because even though his play was disapointing he thought he could still play.
That wopuld be a mistake. Lavar or no Lavar, Holdman is a liability on the defense that opposing offesnes exploited greatly last year. I say give it to Chris Clemons, or sign Adams, or draft a lb in the 2nd round or perhaps all 3 and let em fight it out.
Of course I think the article is assuming we sign a vet cb to play nickle, perhaps Fletcher on MOnday.

IF they sign a decent CB in free agency that can play nickle or at least fight with Jimoh for nickle then I think it is ENTIRELY possible that we do go LB in our first pick, maybe even probably.
Of course Jason LaConfora expected us to trade up for Mike Williams last year so no one really knows.

Don't expect a dismissal of the felony charge. Motions to Dismiss are often filed and rarely granted. However, the plea negotiations sound promising.

I've always thought we would and should go after a OLB with our first pick. no surprise there.

Warrick Holdman is a complete liability, he just isn't good. I'd much rather use the 2nd on an LB than bring him back.
As far as the Taylor charges being dismissed, lets just keep our fingers crossed.

Please Lord, there has to be another way or someone else who is better than Holdman.

NO Warrick Holdman plz and ty. If you watch the games, he is never really helping out with tackles or even near a takle when it is happening, you allways see him on the other side of the field.

Do you know something about the case that someone else doesn't know, because the whole case is based off of a witness that has many legal problems themselves. If there was any real evidence, Taylor would have been behind bars a long time ago. This case will be dropped or Taylor may have some community service to pull. At least thats how I hope it comes out!

I expect them to sign a CB in free agency, possibly Fletcher. Depends on how close the offer is to his sense of self-worth. He's been sitting awhile, so he may be reasonable and trust the 'Skins propensity to reward on performance.
As far as pick#53, it depends on a number of factors. First, Sean Taylor. If he is gone for any time then FS becomes a position of acute need. Second, who is the best available player to groom? We have a lot of age on the DL, for example. We still have no reliable or talented OT reserve - and both OTs have spent time injured. I persdonally think this is where we will go, unless a value player slips (love the Cowboys site showing us with Mangold, but I think there is no chance of this).
Last, this draft is really deep in LBs. Good value can be obtained in the 5-6 round area. Baring that, the influx of new LBs will be met with an outflux of older, more pricey veterans in June. This is the type Gibbs et al prefer, and part of any bonus will count against the 2007 cap.

I think the best thing to do is to have Clemons, Khary Campbell, and Warrick Holdman have a competition for the WLB spot. Or, maybe they'll just rotate.

Chris Clemons, who was our best pass rusher before injuring his knee and the signing of Andre Carter, should be given an opportunity to win the WLB job if his knee is 100%. He is very explosive coming off the edge.

If they are going OLB with our first pick then they must really like Wright.
I did read that they thought he was an upgrade over Harris.
