Bowen is clearly relishing his new reputation as a hard-hitting safety. During the scrimmage, Canidate broke into open space, jogging about 20 yards downfield. While the rest of the Redskins began to huddle up for the next play, Bowen suddenly raced after Canidate at full speed, only letting up when he was about three yards away. Fans laughed, knowing the good-natured rivalry that has developed between the two during training camp.

Russell, Coles, Champ... what else do you need?

Isn't that the singing cowbow? We are too deep at WR for him to make the roster don't you think?

Preseason will be interesting... esp for that last WR spot. Flowers, Woodcock and Scott (blanking on last name) all look good i guess. Patrick Johnson is going to have to fight them off... don't know what's going to happen, but that's part of the fun. Time to let players earn it in the games.

Yeah, I was at camp tuesday and Richmond Flowers was catching everything thrown at him. Ramsey only looked so/so, which kinda concerned me, but this is what the pre-season is for. Danny Wuerfful looked quite good and looked to really know where to go with the ball. I also saw Rashad Bauman completely blanket the receivers he was covering. Trung looked fast, but Morton looked faster.....or at least quicker. Rock Cartwright looked quick for his size. Rob Johnson didn't impress me at all. It was good to see LaDarius Jackson running around. Kenny Watson has good quickness and cuts probably better than all of the RB's. The DE's were putting good pressure on each QB. David Terrell not only looked GOOD (I can't believe I am actually saying this)..............., but he also had attitude and talked a whole lot of trash. Bowen has convinced me........HE IS THE REAL DEAL!!!! The OL didn't look in sync at all. They need more practice together. The starting LB's looked GREAT (of course) and should dominate. Jesse Armstead has good "reaction" skills and was around the ball a lot. He dropped an interception attempt that fell right into his hands after he made a great break on the ball. I didn't see Alex Mouton at all. Also, where the heck was Clif Russell? Didn't see him at all. Our Kicker, Hall looked very impressive during kickoffs. He looked like he wasn't really trying (effortless) and was kicking the ball repeatedly inside the 5 yard line. Missed seeing Ladell Betts in action (elbow). It was good to see many female fans out there at camp. Only 3 players stayed around to sign autographs; LaVar, Champ & Smoot. No one else!!!! At least ONE offensive player should have stopped by. All in all, a decent day at camp (but I prefer carlisle). So goes my brief camp report!!!!

No problem guys. Can't wait for Saturday. I must say that our QB situation is starting to concern me. Rob Johnson was horrible.......absolutely horrible. Ramsey wasn't too hot either, throwing several "wobbly" balls. Wuerffel looked the best of the group, but his pass patterns were no more than 20 yards. We all know that he doesn't have a strong arm. Hamden didn't throw at all during the 7 on 7 and 11 on 11 drills. Was looking forward to seeing his sling the ball. Gardner looked like he bulked up a bit and seemed a bit quicker than last year.....plus he displayed good hands. We will see how the team performs on Saturday (against the 2nd rated Defense in the NFL last year).

Good stuff, 1906. Sounded like Spurrier had the same reaction about the QBs as you did. Interesting to me that Canidate didn't look as fast as Morton or didn't have the cuts of Watson. Still not sold on this guy yet.

There was also a good article on Scott Cloman in the Times the other day. From what I have been reading, it sounds like Patrick Johnson could be the odd man out if they keep 6 WR's, with Cloman and Flowers in the mix. Cloman can play ST's too.

Guys, Scott Cloman is going to make a team a very good WR. This guy has some guns for arms. He has a LBers body with WR speed. If we can't find a way for him on our roster, someone will pick him up and have a good one...

Yeah, I saw Cloman up close and didn't know who he was (at first). Man, that guy is CUT (like a mini LaVar). He was making some impressive catches........but Morton.......man, that guy looks like he could be our "secret weapon". I knew he was fast, but, damn!!! I just hope that we can find a way to keep Watson on the team. I really like his work ethic. PLUS WE NEED A "QUALITY BACK-UP QUARTERBACK"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
