...for parking in handicapped parking spots!!

So the leader of the offense AND the leader of the defense are associated with THIS crap?? Completely figures....and don't give me the B.S. about "I wasn't in the car at the time..." NO SH*T, that's why you PARKED it THERE, to get out and do whatever it is you wanted to do! (or had someone else do it for you - reminds me of Michael Irvin's "friend's" crack pipe found in HIS car.) Oh and check out Trotter's statement in the final line of the article...
"If it's a good cause I'd like to make a donation," he said.
"IF"???!!! You and McChunky are the poster children for why the cause is there IN THE FIRST PLACE!! Losers....
And the Eagles' owner calls his organization "The Gold Standard" of the NFL... yeah, in capped teeth, maybe.

That's a hefty fine and it should be. I got a similar ticket in college I'm ashamed to say. I was blown away at the 75 dollar figure. Their figures are nuts. They will think twice about doing this again with the amount of those fines.

lets not generalize here, the majority of modern athletes dont get into trouble, but when one gets in trouble its a big story. Over 90% of Pro Athletes are upstanding.

I have parked in handicap zones many, many times.
With a handicap parking pass! I'm glad that they got caught! Maybe they were thinking about the beating :sfight: that we're going to give them this year and they thought that qualified them to park there.

I broke my femur bone in half at age 17 (gotta love football) and drove left footed on cruches and I still didn't take a handicapped parking sticker when I could have because people who truely are handicapped need those spaces.

At least in McNabb's case, his friend was borrowing his car. McNabb was in the hospital at the time the car was cited for being parked in a handicapped spot. I don't understand how a guy in a hospital for an injury can get in trouble for parking in a handicapped spot in the first place...if he'd actually parked in a handicapped spot, he may not have gotten into trouble on account of his injury.

I agree I know people who are able but get handicap passes for their "bad back" and such. Handicap spaces are not for the overweight (like me) or the lazy they are for people who truly need it. I have bnever parked in a handicap spot knowingly. (I am ashamed to admit that I have parked there when the paint has worn off and there were no signs much to my shame on the way out).
NFL athletes do not need to park in handicap parking spaces.

I hate the Eagles as much as the next guy, but lets not over blow the reaction here. McNabb loaned his car to a friend who parked in the spot, can't really blame him. It says the same thing for Trotter.
I don't think either has done anything truly morally reprehensible in this case. Stupid? yes. They have to do a better job of picking friends, but all in all it not the worst thing I've ever seen. I don't understand what the hoopla is about.

I thought I read that Trotter parked his own car there to go to a bar.
BTW - nice "The Jerk" quote in your sig!

Trotter was cited for two occasions his vehicle was found illegally parked near the restaurant while he was hosting a radio show. He said he had been dropped off and that someone else parked his truck.
BTW - nice "The Jerk" quote in your sig!
thanks, I saw it for the first time a few months ago and thought it was hilarious. I probably would have put "I was born a poor black child" up there, but somebody may have not recognized it and got offended.:lol1:

ah, OK. I didn't read the article linked in this thread - I read about it a couple of months ago when it first made the rounds. I should be less lazy...
You're right - this was probably the better choice of quotes ;)
