from the Post
"Veteran guard Tre Johnson said it still is unclear when he will return from a sore Achilles' tendon and a pulled hamstring, but he remains intent upon playing this season and beyond. "I know I can play a few more years," Johnson said"

I say he will play all season...XBox,PS2 and maybe even game cube :D
I agree Kenny it does not look good for Tre at all, which makes Dockery a better pick.

If he play for an extended period of time, more than a game, that's bad news for the SKins, cause it will mean that a starter is hurt, maybe 2, as it sounds Dockery will be first off the bench.
Tre's best days are behind him.

I agree with Robert. Tre, barring his injuries (a maybe throw in a little conditioning) could have been a beast, and was at times. But, he's fighting an uphill battle, so if he plays more than to spell the starters, we're either up by 35 or our o-line's not healthy. I'd love for him to play if it was under the first condition.

My question is, if he is still nursing injuries and does not participate in that much of training camp, will he even make the team or get cut????

I can't see him surviving the cut down. From what we've been reading, it appears Friedman, Dockery and Brown will make the squad. That makes 8 Offensive linemen. There is room for only one more (maybe) from among Jones, Winey, Johnson, Downey... I'd like to see Winey step up and take it as he is listed as RT, LT and G depth. Injury history and cap wise, it would be a good scenario. Jones would be an expensive 3rd stringer who's injuries are getting annoying, Tre' will probably be at home rehabing through mid-season. If we need him then,...

I would still want Johnson over Brown here

Tre sounds like he is giving up inside... I think that spells the end for him more than anything else.

what is sad is that he obviouslly waited until camp to get in shape. He got hurt walking on a treadmill..... I would love to see him rebound to tutor Dockery but at this point is he really someone you want to influence a younger player?

Don't forget, you have to hold a roster spot for Albright, he would make 9 O Lineman.

How do you assume that he was out of shape, or should I ask how is it obvious? The treadmill injury was to his hamstring. This is totally different. McCants hurt his hamstring too, but no one is saying that he is/was out of shape when it happened. Athletes in other sports hurt their Achilles all the time. Marino and Dominique Wilkins come to mind.

I'm not giving up on Tre. I don't trust him to stay healthy, but I'd love to have him around. When healthy and in shape, Tre is a mushroom cloud of ass-kicking fury.

im a huge tre johnson fan and its sucks to not see him out there on the field. are the coaches holding him out for precautionary reasons, or is he just really banged up?
