I'm not going to pick which games but if the Skins can keep the injuries to a minimum and with the talent that has been added to this team, I think 12-4 or 13-3 is a reasonable expectation .... for me. ;-)

Follow that up with 2 wins at FedEx and a final victory for the season in Miami!

We should Cream indy, unless whoever they pick up for running back can produce 120+, we hold Reggie and Marvin down with our defense. They dropped their defensive players so I dont expect them to be the defense they had last year.

Um we shouldnt loose to more than 3 teams at most.

Stop participating in a thread if you think its jinxes or etc. Remember we are members like you and the only jinx is in the ability of the TEAM, not fans. If I run out of beer before a kick, I guess I'd jinx the team, better go get some brew on SUNDAY NIGHT?? puhlease, so again, chill with the its YOUR fault excuse and just move on.

I did this last season and we won all the games I thought we "key" so I'll try it again.

My key games in the season:

Week 1 Minnesota - We absolutely have to win home games and getting started on the right foot is very key. We need to go out and set the tone by beating down a conference opponent.

Week 5 @ NY - The Giants embarrassed the burgundy and gold last year and it ended up costing us the division. NY faces a murderous schedule and I think they will be no better than 1-2 coming into this game. We have a golden opportunity to get a strangle hold on the division, but it won't come easy as the G-men are coming off a bye.

Week 7 @ Indianapolis - I hate to say that a non-division road game is important... I really do. But I LOVE to win that last game before a bye week. I do not see us coming into this game any worse that 3-3, but even that would be a bit of an early season disappointment. I say we need to buckle down and win against what I think is a wild card team in '06. The will miss Edge.

Week 9 dallass - No explanations required here. The juices at FedEx need to flow like never before in this rivalry. We must beat dallass coming off our bye week and put ourselves ahead of them in the standings for the stretch run.

Week 12/13 Carolina/Falcons - I think we can win one of these and be in good shape going into the game against rival Philly. However, sweep these two, and I think we might be home for the playoffs. This three game stretch (including Philly) will be huge and the Redskins are very capable os starting a stretch run similar to '05. We just have to get off to a good start here and it could possibly be a 5-6+ game winning streak going into the playoffs.

Ultimately, an NFC East Championship with home field throughout. But first, baby steps. I think 12-4 is very realistic. Everything else is gravy.

I noticed they put us on a short week going on the raod to Dallass (Week 2) then give us a bye before the home game against the 'girls. Fair trade, I suppose.

I'll settle for 1-0 right now. Then I'll start concentrating on Dallass.

I admit it is way too early to be making predictions.....but I like doing things ealy. Last year I predicted 106 with a wild card playoff birth, of course I did not predict a sweep of the Cowboys or a 5 game win streak to get into the poost season. With the schedule out and the draft yet to happen here are my predictions for 2006.

Sep 11 Minnesota 7:00pm: WIN Gibbs teams have won the last two openers and Minnesota will be outmatched in Fred Smoot and Brad Johnson's return to Fed-Ex.

Sep 17 @Dallas 8:15pm: LOSS Going to be hard to beat Dallas in Dallas two years in a row and on a short week nonetheless.

Sep 24 @Houston 1:00pm: WIN David Carr is going to get pummelled and Reggie Bush is going to wish he had a 6th year of eligibility.

Oct 1 Jacksonville 4:15pm: WIN Jacksonville was the most overrated team in the playoffs last year. Mark Brunell will light up his old team.

Oct 8 @N.Y. Giants 1:00pm: LOSS Pierce and possibly LaVar will be too much for us and the redskins have played like crap in the meadowlands the last two seasons.

Oct 15 Tennessee 1:00pm: WIN Matt Leinart will learn dancing with Gw's defense is not the same as ballroom dancing class.

Oct 22 @Indianapolis 4:15pm: LOSS I just don't see us having the corners to hang with their wide receivers...yet. It can change but playing on the road versus one of the best pass offenses in the league is trouble. Don't worry we will get our chance at revenge on this.

Nov 5 Dallas 1:00pm: WIN We avenge our earlier loss by smacking the boys around. Our bye week will have us rested and ready to go.

Nov 12 @Philadelphia 1:00pm: WIN Philly is going to take another year to adjust to the whole TO debacle. They did nothing this year to improve their team, but get older.

Nov 19 @Tampa Bay 1:00pm: WIN Tampa will come out hard because of our playoff beat down of them last year, but they will be overmatched and Taylor will hit Chris Simms so hard he will wish his Dad was sterile.

Nov 26 Carolina 1:00pm: WIN Carolina has a good team, but not a great team. Keyshawn should be working his morale magic on the team by then as well.

Dec 3 Atlanta 1:00pm: WIN Michael Vick can run, by why when Taylor and Archuleta are out there waiting for you?

Dec 10 Philadelphia 1:00pm: LOSS Smells like a let down game. Yoiu can't win every game and Philly will want revenge.

Dec 17 @New Orleans 1:00pm: WIN Maybe Tags will let us host this game in FedEx...uhm nope. We will sew up a playoff birth with the win.

Dec 24 @St. Louis 1:00pm: WIN Ironically we will look more like the St. Louis team that won the Superbowl then they do. Archueletta looking wants a big game for his return home.

Dec 30 N.Y. Giants 8:00pm: WIN With the NFC East and a 1st round playoff on the line Fed Ex will rock and the Redskins will beat the Giants into a pulp.

Final Record 11-5 NFC East Champ 1st Round Bye (Seattle gets homefield because of their weak arse division)

POST SEASON Redskins host the divisional game and beat whoever they play. They go on the road to Seattle again, but this time beat the Seahawks to go into the Super Bowl. Indy awaits them and The redskins avenge their earlier loss and win the Superbowl.

After the season Brunell retires, Gibbs resigns from Coaching to be team President and GW takes over. Saunders will probably get a HC gig elsewhere, probably San Francisco.

I am going to put this on the blog as well so it is saved for posterity.

I predict we will be very, very good, on both sides of the ball.
I predict we will win 10 games by a comfortable margin.
I predict that 6 games will be decided by 6 points or less.
I predict that we will score at least 35 points in 4 games.
I predict we will get a first round bye and play the divisional playoff game at home.
I predict we will play the NFC championship game on the road, and win.
I predict we will all be very happy after the superbowl.
I predict our team will look very similar in 2007.

10-6 is my prediction. The division is really tough. I like our out of conference schedule for the most part and love having a bye in week 8. I just fear that we got lucky with injuries last year and that depth at certain positions could bite us in the arse if any key lineman or DB go down.

I'm kinda with the rest of the pack..11-5ish/12-4ish

Sep 11 Minnesota 7:00pm - Win: Team recovering from turmoil, home opener
Sep 17 @Dallas 8:15pm - Loss: Twice in a row would be nice, but...

Nov 12 @Philadelphia 1:00pm - Win: Their fall from the top continues

im glad we have such optimist. i am a total persimist and no one has seen how this team will gel together. so for right now ill pick the same position we were at last year. with moss, cooley, portis, patten and an average offense we were 10-6, with the new additions i would say 11-5. hail to the redskins

I'm gonna say 12-4 or 13-3 the reason for me saying this is we only keep getting better an better through each season since Joe Gibbs return, I mean come on my fellow Redskins fans,:dalassuk: we made some more key acquisitions, I mean you guys cannot tell me that our team cannot go at least 12-4 or 13-3 I'm serious we will be in the Superbowl this year, it's time and it's been a long time comin I see Mark Brunell retiring getting a Superbowl then we start Jason Campbell. :dalassuk:

I hope you are wrong about only playing 16 games games next season.

Regular Season of course. I save the bold predictions for January ;)

Anything less then the NFC Championship Game will be a dissapointment for me. If we don't make it to the NFC Championship, we didn't improve from last year. I think that it will be hard for us to win home-field advantage, but if we play as well as we did last year in the NFC East, and win some of the close ones that we lost last year, it shouldn't be a problem.

Sep 24 @Houston 1:00pm win
Oct 1 Jacksonville 4:15pm loss
Oct 8 @N.Y. Giants 1:00pm win
Oct 15 Tennessee 1:00pm win
Oct 22 @Indianapolis 4:15pm loss
Week 8 BYE
Nov 5 Dallas 1:00pm win
Nov 12 @Philadelphia 1:00pm win
Nov 19 @Tampa Bay 1:00pm win
Nov 26 Carolina 1:00pm loss
Dec 3 Atlanta 1:00pm win
Dec 10 Philadelphia 1:00pm win
Dec 17 @New Orleans 1:00pm win
Dec 24 @St. Louis 1:00pm win
Dec 30 N.Y. Giants 8:00pm loss

Finish up 11-5. The way I see it we will start cold and as the season progresses, the offense gels. No reason why we cannot make the NFC championship game this year and are serious Super Bowl contenders.

That Indy game will not be a loss, as far as I am concerned. That game isn't going to be thrown away, in spite of the fact of they bye, before the Dallas game. This team (Skins) still has something to prove to all other teams and the incentive is going to be so astronimical for this game, as it was for the Kansas City and San Diego game last year. Remember our roster wasn't exactly competitive on a bad day to beat them. This team is now capable from the starter to the depth, to get it done. It is NECESSARY to be able to beat each and every team in the NFL, even on a bad day.

I see something in this team like no other. It's like 2 starting squads across the board for the most part. Other teams, like Indy, Philly, Seattle, Chicago, and in some spots, NY, have the starters and an enormous drop off, right after. I believe we have capable 7's and few 10's on a scale of 1-10, but other teams have bunches of 8-10's and then after that 3-5's to back them up. We have 7's at the VERY LEAST across the board!

Like it or not, the Cowpokes, Eagles and Giants are gettting better at this, than the Colts, though having their draft picks, who still focus on starter heaviness and then put their backups in the goat position when its obvious they are out of gas. Denver is heavy in depth, like we are, but their's is another story. The SKINS THRIVE ON A GOOD SHOWING NOW, when away,as opposed to the crumbly teams in the past. The players don't have to be world beaters all over, but have the incentive as a starter and execute, from DEMONSTRATED ability. We have FA's that are at depth spots, some who have started and played in big games, but aren't household names, but fit!

I love our chances so much, I am willing to sit in a wave of blue with full Skins regalia, like JoeTheFan and others did in Dallas.

Dallas gets to play Detroit at home in week 17 this year.

Could be an important difference versus us playing the Giants the same week and fighting for the playoffs.

14-2 and win on out, baby

I love rose colored glasses, especially when applied to the 'Skins. My prog is not quite as rosy due to the strength of the division. I think we take Dallas twice if their O-line hasn't jelled by the second game. Losses away to Philly and the NYG (we always have trouble in that ballpark), Indy (again away), one to TB (close, could go either way), and one more in a letdown (I favor Dallas for this). The schedule is nice in that most of the away games (StL for example) are against weaker teams, while the stronger teams play us at home. The Carolina game should be a doozy, since it a statement game for both teams who will be palyoff bound.

I am not a football analysis just a fan. As a diehard fan I always expect that my team will win every Game!

19-0

Now I just have to figure out how the Eagles, Giants (and whatever the name of that other team is) go 0-16.

just picked this off Czabes site http://czabe.com/daily/archives/2006/04/are_the_redskin.html

QUOTE-Vs. Minnesota (MNF) W – Re-tooled Vikes are gonna be tough in a new run-first mentality. Oh yeah, Brad Johnson returns to FedEx as a starter. Big fun. The 7 p.m. kickoff, should produce the most massive traffic headache in Beltway history.

At Dallas (NBC) L – It’s T.O.’s first home game. Look out.
At Houston W – Say hi to Charlie Casserly, Skins fans!
Vs. Jacksonville W – Byron Leftwich homecoming.
At New York Giants L – Do we every play well there anymore?
Vs. Tennessee W – The schedule’s one true breather.
At Indianapolis L – Colts still formidable.

BYE: 4-3 record at break keeps Super Bowl talk from being out of control.

Vs. Dallas W – Done with the Cowboys by Week 9. Too bad.
At Philly L – Eagles will rebound this year.
At Tampa Bay W – Revenge from last year’s “goal-line” game.
Vs. Carolina W - At 6-4, this win propels rest of season.
Vs. Atlanta W – Come get your whuppin, Ron Mexico!
Vs. Philly W – Thankfully, it’s a 1 p.m. game.
At New Orleans W – Saints will not suck. Trust me.
At St. Louis W – A work in progress with a new coach.
Vs. NY Giants W – Eli Manning, come get your whuppin!

So there you have it, everybody. Your typical over-confident April prediction. Just remember what I like to say: “I see 12-4 this year, and I don’t know how they’ll lose the four.”
