Well, it isn't Lambeau or Arrowhead, but we've got nothing to be ashamed of.

The thing you--and every fan going to an away game--should be concerned about is this: Will you make it home alive from the game?

Answer: Yes, you will. This is DC, not Philadelphia.

Welcome and enjoy the game.

Fran O'Briens Restaurant used to hold a pretty good party, Plenty of food, beer and music for a $20 contribution. They were in the RV Lot at FedEx.

Tailgate away. We always fire up the grill and toss on some chorizo and burgers. The staff even comes around with trash bags. There could be more port-a-pots but it seems that's always the case.

Welcome jetsin03... I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the reaction you recieve here at hr.com. W arent like other loser team sites who have no character and prove it by their mouths... we have great posters who treat others with respect.

Besides... we already know the Jets suck so why rub it in further?

(Just kidding man... welcome!)

Welcome to hR Jetsin03! I don't have anything bad to say about your team but it would be nice if you guys could not match an offer sheet for one of your big Defensive Tackles. :lol1: ........cause man we could sure use another big body in the middle and we didn't take any of your defensive players.........YET!!! :lol1:

But really........., welcome to hR.

Oh yeah, what did Coles say in SI?

Sound off is just what Laveranues Coles did in the latest issue of Sports Illustrated. Taking time out from his reportedly stellar Washington Redskins training camp, Coles leveled a few more blasts at his former employer.

Coles said he had done "everything an organization could ask from a guy who wasn't supposed to pan out. I show up early, I'm one of the last ones to leave, you don't read about me in the paper. Heck, last year my coach named me the MVP of the team before there was a vote. And this is how you say thanks? By making me doubt myself again?" And Coles took closer aim at Herman Edwards: "Coach was saying that as long as he's there, I would be. So there was no doubt in my mind. But it never happened."

You know what, Laveranues? It's time to move on.

Edwards sometimes makes ill-timed remarks, such as that MVP assessment, and sometimes his personnel predictions don't pan out. But only Coles, who has had a chip lashed to his shoulder since before the Jets made him their third-round pick in 2000, could turn Edwards' supportive words into negatives.

Here are some things for Coles to ponder: The Jets did him a favor by taking a chance with him in the draft. He then did them a favor by developing into a very good - but not yet great - wideout last year. The NFL is a business, and the Jets had to make a tough call and let him go.

The Jets helped Coles get to where he is today. And if he doubts that, he's not dealing with reality.

Like I said before Im not here to bash coles...he WAS one of my favorites..And I wish the best for him but he does have a chip on his shoulder...But Ill say it again he's a hell of a hard worker

welcome jetsin03!!! Enjoy your stay here at hailredskins. Have been posting on the nyjetsfan site and have had fun. They TRIED to beat me up over there, but after they failed (LOL) they then decided to respect me!!!! :D. In any event, hope you have fun at the game. Redskins fans are quite civil, so you should (as Spence said) make it home safely. If this was Oakland, however..................................

Tailgating at a Redskins game is one of the best in the NFL. One thing to remember though, this will be the first game of the year, a Thursday night (still summer) and everyone is going to want to be at the game early. They will probably open the lots up an hour earlier (5:00pm). ALSO take in consideration it's rush hour and around the beltway - THAT'S HELL! I plan on being there no later than 6:30 if I can help it. ......... Enjoy the game and the tailgating. NOT going to wish your team any luck - lol.

Cant say I agree with your feelings on Coles though.. I think it is very rare to find a player with ny team loyalty at all... Coles is simply implying that he showed loyalty and they didnt respond in kind... Duece Staley is saying the same thing... Big Daddy, Brian Mitchell, Jeremiah Trotter to name a few others... this is becoming a popular position to take.
