Spurrier was pretty upset yesterday with the performances of Ramsey, Johnson, and Wuerffel.
"I thought it was one of the worst [practices of camp] for our offensive guys," Spurrier said. "The defense got the best of us in the pass drills and there was nobody rushing. Our quarterbacks looked lost several times. We've got to do a better job coaching our quarterbacks. They're running around, getting hung up. We don't have a chance if we do that in the games."
Looks like Hamdan is the man!:D

Like I have said before, Ram is only a second year man with 5 games started under his belt, he is gonna struggle. Johnson is trying to learn a new system and Woeful is still getting his arm strength back :D:D.
Even once the season starts Ramis gonna have bad days, lets just hope they are few and far between

I know many of you know this, but Ramsey is still practically a rookie. We know what he brings to the table: the strong arm, mental toughness, and smarts, but he's still pretty green. I think that only QBs like Favre, who have that experience come into camp and have every thing down by the first game of the preseason. We have a little under a month (w00t!) until the regular season. If Ramsey still has days like this on Sept 3, then I'll be a little more concerned, but none of us should think that Ramsey will look like a Pro-Bowl QB all the time. He'll make tough passes into double coverage, and then maybe the next play throw a pick that seemed intended for noone in particular. Hopefully most of his throws resemble the former rather than the latter, but we shouldn't be overly concerned if he does throw pics in practice. Plus, think about the secondary he's throwing against.

I scares me to see Spurrier all upset like this. As all of us have mentioned... it is early still, Ramsey is young and will make mistakes. Spurrier has vowed to tay with him... but his vows are worthless (as we saw last year). I sure hope he doesnt freak out so quickly on Ramsey's first mistake of the season.

Ramsey needs to get in the mental mindset he was in when they played against Philly

How about Gus Ferrotte or Jay Shroeder?????
My observation @ the afternoon practices on Tuesday was that Wuerffel looked better than Ramsey or Johnson (and that's not a good thing). He just doesn't have much "zip" on the ball.
Somebody help us!!!!!!!
:bangdesk:
I think Spurrior is just taking a page out of the Lou Holtz how to talk to the media guide for football coaches. Its better for him to say they look like crap and have them do better on Saturday than to say they look great and have them flop.

you should all remember 2 things.
1. the defense is always ahead of the offense at this point
2. SS will never give credit to the defense, if the offense fails it will always be the offenses fault.
save for questions at DT your defense is supposed to be pretty good - right?

yeah arkcowboy, our biggest questions are at DT. We have some at S, but they will be solid enough...mosty position battles there. I do agree with #2, but our offense has looked pretty good at times against our D. I haven't been to camp, so you have to ask for confirmation from those who have, but Spurrier defintely demands success out of his offense, regardless of the quatlity of defense. I think we'll still be okay.
If you wanna help us out, I'll trade you Woeful and our 7th for Roy Williams. :D

Ok whats the deal..why you being nice? You knwo something don't you!!! Oh wait nevermind you can just sympathize about bad QB play cuz of the QB's you have. :Partybig: :dalassuk: :wacky:
went to practice this afternoon .. Johnson looked lost out there. I've been a Woeful basher since day one but he may have a better shot at being the #2
