Oh, this should be fun. Two loudmouth, hot head WRs with a rushing first offense.

Smith not counting on Keyshawn factor. Panthers star unsure of addition's affect

Despite his decade of big plays, big talk and big hype, newly signed Carolina Panthers wideout Keyshawn Johnson is no replacement for Muhsin Muhammad, Panthers All-Pro receiver Steve Smith says.

During a celebrity golf tournament April 7 at Brier Creek Country Club, Smith said Johnson is a good player, but not on the same level of Muhammad, who left Carolina last year for Chicago via free agency.

I still wish that Meshawn and Me O would have played together in Dallas but at least three teams will be ruined by the ongoing TO saga (Philly, Dallas, Carolina)....and 5 if you count the fallout in Baltimore and San Francisco.

i love steve smith hes from cali him and chad went to college out here before going to a big college. steve is one of my favorites and so is keyshawn i cant wait to see them. steve is a play maker and can make things happen at any time
i think keyshawn will benefit from that seeing single coverage. they can go all the way with that team all they need is a SS which they can get in the draft and a good TE and there whole team is vanilla.

Sometimes the truth hurts and I respect Smith for making it well known in this situation. Keyshawn is old news and even the girls know that. Should be interesting to see how he works out as a Panther. They have a good thing going there and this move surprised me a bit.

I hate to say this buy im really starting to despise Mcnabb. I dont know why he has to bring race into the whole TO saga. I dont even know why he brings it up.

"We've seen each other at different occasions but never spoke. I'm going to speak. That's just me, I'm going to speak to whomever. You don't have to like me, just respect what I do. I respect what you do," McNabb said.

"I'm not asking you to come over to the house and hang around the family and play with my kids. Just speak. We're African-Americans, we don't need to have this separation. But, you've got to let people be people. Got to let them do what they do."

That aint that bad...seriuously it's not like he is race baiting. He is juts saying that they have a common bond and should respect each other because of it.

It's not like he slugged a cop for not recognizing him.

well smith is right about one thing for certain... muhammed was a good deep threat-- me-shawn has not been anything except a possession receiver for a long time

I was hoping for this too. We would've watched Dallas just crumble before our eyes. It would've been glorious.

One of my fraternity pledge brothers is the grandson of the Panther's owner and I asked him which players were cool and which were not... He replied that pretty much all of them were really cool and nice, except Steve Smith who was a huge "d__khead". He said Stephen Davis was the man tho.

Anyone who's been around hR for a long time should know how I feel about Steve Smith.

Back in his early days he sucker punched a 3rd/4th string QB during a film session. Then proceeded to kick and punch him until teammates pulled him off.

I have never, and never will like S. Smith. No matter how great he is supposed to be.

It seems like all around us teams are having character issues. God I love it!

I love Smith's game but his mouth is something else. Think Santana would ever pull crap like this? We're really lucky, he seems to be one of the only star receivers out there without this punk attitude.

good news. sorry, but anytime an NFC playoff team has chemistry issues, its good for the skins. :) this will be fun to watch though because you know keyshawn isnt going to keep his mouth shut.

not sure it rises to the level of chemistry issues... yet..

smith reminds me some of gary clark.. always yapping, but when the game starts he is a warrior.. on the other hand, i do not ever remember clark saying a disparaging thing about a teammate

but it well be interesting to see me shawns response. this is not his team yet, so he may tread lightly for a while..

maybe not, but it isnt a good way to start off with a new teammate. i dont expect a guy that hs never bitten his tongue for anyone, to do it now even if he is on a new team.

This will be far and away a better combo than TO and Glenn in Dallas. I am curious, about this, because TO and Glenn have blown up before on teams.

Smith is cooler and that statement should not be challenged. I have seen Muhammed do things he shouldn't have to keep drives alive in Carolina.

I love gifted receivers togther also, Taylor and Jefferson, Brown and Garrett, Monk and Clark, - Moss, Lloyd, Randle El and Patten :)
